  1. I’ll just get Super Mario World to start off with since I’ve got most of the other games on my 3DS anyway. I’ll save the rest of my money for Cloudberry Kingdom and Pokémon Rumble U.

  2. Pretty lame that you have to pay to upgrade your Wii VC titles. I know it’s not essential, but it is a bit of an insult to people who’ve bought a good 25-30 games from the Wii shop channel.

  3. 8 quid for snes?? Should be 4 euro for nes and 5 euro for snes. I’m only going to get rare games I’ve never played before like Earthbound for example. I have SMW on like 3 consoles already, I’m sure people here must have it too. What’s the point in getting it again??

  4. Truly pathetic, shambolic and all the rest, which is quickly becoming a hallmark of the company in this era. This shit download service is made even worse by the 60hz lottery issue in Europe, and by the extra payment required to play games you already own on the GamePad, thee core feature of the console. Microsoft would never charge customers additional money to play their XLA or video/music on a Surface Tab, their fans would go crazy if they announced that at E3, lol.

    1. Actually with the surface u do pay again even if u have already bought the game on Xbox live. Fruit ninja, PAC man championship to name but 2.

    2. For all you know, they just might do that.
Sony is already doing that, and on top of that, they’re making it so that you have to be online to access the Gaikai to play those past games.

At least here, you’re getting off-TV play and can do it without having to be online past the initial download.
I’d say the cost for upgrading to those features is a small one in comparison to the convenience they bring.

  5. I don’t think any of you who bought games on Wii should gripe about the upgrade price. It’s a new system and a new generation, get over it. It adds great off screen play for a fraction of the price, be thankful it’s even an option and there’s even a discount. My library on the PSN right now will be a complete waste when I buy ps4, yet no complaints. I also don’t expect to play cassettes tapes in my blu ray player, that’s how technology works, it advances and you move on to the next one

I honestly had no idea EU didn’t have the VC up yet, that’s an awesome upgrade to get this weekend!! All the classic games that have hit here in the US have only been .30 cents though (kirby, punch out and f-zero) with off screen play.

    1. It was 30p in Europe but that was for the special service Nintendo were doing, now the actual virtual console is releasing we will get new games (hopefully) every week!

  6. Cool, VC coming tomorrow! I’d like to get Super Mario World…imo one of the best, if not, the best 2D mario game I’ve played so far.

  7. It’s all about GC And DC on the VC. Couldn’t care less about the same old Nes and Snes games
