Yuri, the Associate Online and Community Specialist at Capcom US, has told members of the Capcom Unity forums that the company has no plans to bring the Monster Hunter franchise to the PlayStation Vita. It sounds as though the Monster Hunter series is staying with the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U for the time being. Monster Hunter 4 releases exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS this summer.
“Sorry, we’ve got no plans for a PSVita Monster Hunter at the moment.
As mrk1976 said, however, MH Freedom Unite is up on the PS store.”

And while I love my 3ds (seriously, I’m pouring my money into that thing <3) I wouldn't mind some MH action for my Vita as well given the countless hours I put into Unite and Portable 3rd for the PSP. I personally think Capcom is too damn lazy to make an HD monster hunter to be honest. Portable 3rd "HD" and 3U are just ports in higher resolution =x And MH4's textures look worse than the PSP games… which is concerning.
Mh4 textures dont look worst thats just the video they show of a earlier build because i played mh on psp and 3ds and in 3ds it looks a bit better. I say a bit cause capcom has been using the same texture since mh 1.

Monster Hunter Ultimate on 3DS runs at 60FPS (or very close to) is 3D and looks significantly better graphically than the PSP Monster Hunters.
Now , you would Presume MH4 on 3DS will look Better than Monster Hunter ultimate on 3DS , no ? .
Tip – don’t watch blown up youtube footage of 3DS games and then judge them , they look a million times better on 3DS.
I have a PSP (don’t play it all anymore) and it looks like crap compared to 3DS. Metal Gear Peace walker looks not even Half as good as Resi Rev or MGS 3D.

when monster hunter was last released in 2009 on the psp which had a larger install base than the vita it didn’t sell alot of units. the psvita is a dead/flop/fail of a system any game made for the vita will not sell.that’s why dev’s are going to 3ds cause that’s where the money is at. r.i.p psvita you saw the same fate as the pspgo and will soon be scraped.
The PSP MH game didn’t sell well because Crapcom can only sell you the same game so many times, you’ll understand what I mean when crapcom repackages MH4 and re-releases it on the 3DS in the future.
