Nintendo has announced via its online store that it is now selling refurbished Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi consoles. Nintendo says that the authentic Nintendo refurbished products are the only refurbished products in the market that have been cleaned, tested, and inspected to meet Nintendo’s high standards. The refurbished products also come with a one year guarantee, which is the same guarantee that they offer for new products. The refurbished products are guaranteed to be fully functional, but may have minor cosmetic blemishes. You can check out the deals they have, right here.

The screen will scratch if yiu carry it with you 24 /7 like I do. My reg 3DS has been repaired 3 times (so it’s still under warrantee since the warranty resets after each repair, kudos to Nintendo’s amazing repair service.)
My 3DS xL had it’s first screen replacement 1 1/2 months ago.

I don’t generally buy used, but I would absolutely buy a used system from Nintendo. They have top-notch repair standards… I know all too well. XD
Plus, the 1 yr warranty? It starts over after EACH repair. So you’re safe with the used model (If you buy it from Nintendo.)
