    1. It WILL get better. There is a shit load of games in development for the system. 3 mario , Mario Kart , X , Bayonetta 2 , Pikmin 3 , Wonderfull 101 , SMT X FE , Windwaker remake and more will move as load of units and by the end of this year sales should stay consistantly higher.

Basically once Mario Kart is out the Sales will up 10 fold.

      1. Man i just remembered there’s a SMT X FE game being made xD
How the fuck is that going to work? Haha
        It’s not even a fighting game, it’s a RPG 0.o

        1. Either way, one things for sure, visually its going to look great, Atlus always do that anime style visuals with their games, like SMT, Catherine, hopefully the game looks like the FE:Awakening cutscenes, that’d be great

          1. Exactly , it’s a huge game for Wiiu if you think about it (not in terms of sales) but in terms of the actual game and the service to fans.

Monolith Softs X and SMT X FE are 2 incredible sounding games.

            1. Yeah, i replayed Chrono Trigger last week so now i have a real fix for some good JRPG’s.
Starting an FF7 playthrough later :3

        2. of course its not a fighting game shin megami tensai is a rpg and fire emblem is a srpg why would it be a fighting game

      1. give it a year. The nextbox wont be doing any better i assume. I have a feeling Sony and Nintendo will dominate this Gen.

  1. As soon as you look at the Japanese sales, you know the issue with the WiiU is to do with firstly lack of games, but the fact the alternative is a much better option, a 3DS.
3DS is killing it in the market right now, and if someone came up to me and said “do i get a WiiU or 3DS?”, id say get a 3DS

      1. Hopefully, if the rumour of 3D Mario and Mario Kart being release later this year are true, then id say thats a possibility.

    1. If someone came to me and asked, “Should I get a Wii U or Atari Jaguar?”, I would tell them to get… an Atari Jaguar!

Trying to draw attention away from the fact the PS3 and PS Vita outsold Wii U AGAIN?!

    1. By how much? The Vita is selling pretty poorly for a handheld. It should be compared against other handhelds. The PS3 has far more software and isn’t blowing out the Wii U in sales in Japan. Wait till this fall when the big games start getting released. Wii U sales will dramatically increase.

      1. Agreed. The PS3 will soon be dead aswell once the PS4 comes out with next to no interesting Japanese Games the Wiiu will leave it in the dust.

    2. Nintendo Commander

Yes, at the same time as Wii U has no important sacred Nintendo titles yet…

Imagine how much more it will sell when the first Mario game is released…

The Vita will be utterly destroyed and Xbox will be forgotten and non-existant…

      1. Hey don’t forget about the Vita just yet. Sales will surely go up with the PS4 launch, and maybe another price drop in a year or two. i say it will sell 15-20 million which is very good for a Non-Nintendo handheld.

  3. Nintendo better blow us away with its E3 and Direct videos next month(or is it july?). Last year’s E3 was disappointing

  4. NSMB2 is still selling?

It should have said NSMBU, not 2.

Nintendo needs to pick up the sales of the Wii U…

  5. I think Wii U will pick up not after they’ve announced the big games in E3 but after they actually release these games. It’s taken too long for games like Pikmin to be released.

  6. Wii U, 3DS and original Wii doing Marvelous in Japan. Looks at xbox360. Maybe the Japanese know a little hidden agenda at Microsoft. Something xboxlive subscribers don’t hmmmmm!

  7. I must say that I’m not sure how Kud Wafter made it onto the top 10. I never would have guessed that so many people would buy it.

As always, I’m glad to see the 3DS doing well. The console has a huge selection of great games that is comparable to the legendary consoles of old (GBA, Gamecube, PS2) The 3DS has quickly become a dominant console so I’m hoping that it lasts a long, long, long time
