Nintendo of America has uploaded a video titled Inside the Treehouse. Treehouse is the product development arm of Nintendo of America who deal primarily with localisation. The feature video looks at the forthcoming Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS and focusses on the long localisation schedule that the hit franchise has endured. Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be released in North America on June 9th and June 14th in Europe.

I admit, I always thought of localization as just translation. But its much more than that, and involves the development team to change and create new things. Cool.
