Pokebeach, the publication that got the four latest Pokemon names correct, has received a fresh batch of rumours related to the forthcoming Pokemon X & Y. The source behind the information can’t be verified, so it’s clearly worth taking this latest batch of information with a grain of salt. That being said, Pokemon Smash will air later today, and Junichi Masuda, one of the founding members of Game Freak, will be on the show. Let’s hope we get some fresh Pokemon X & Y information. Anyway, here’s those delicious rumours.
- Pancham evolves into Pangoro in the early level 30s. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, you need to have one other Dark-type Pokemon in your party. Pangoro’s type is Fighting/Dark.
- A Pokemon named Inkay evolves into Malimar. To evolve it, you have to hold your 3DS upside-down when it levels up (the 3DS has an accelerometer and gyroscope, so it can detect that). Malimar’s type is Dark/Psychic.
- A Psychic-type Pokemon named Espurr (ESP + purr) evolves into Meowstick (Meow + mystic?). (Sounds like Psychic-type cats. Meowstick’s name sounds too similar to Meowth to me though.)
- Like in B/W you have two rivals – one is friendly and the other is competitive. Your rival that is more friendly gives you his/her fully evolved starter Pokemon after you beat the game.
- Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
- Even though it shows the player riding on a Gogoat in the new trailer, players can’t ride on their own Pokemon. What was shown is just an alternate way of getting around Lumiose City and it only works with Gogoat.
- HMs still exist but there’s a lot less of them.
- Players will be able to see their Pokemon’s EVs (probably through the same in-game facility mentioned in the other post).
- A new move, Belch, is a Poison-type attack that has a base power of 120. The user must consume a held Berry to perform it.
- Draining Kiss is a Fairy-type attack that heals the user for the same amount of damage performed. It has a base power of 60.
- If the previously revealed forme of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly similar to Mewtwo’s original design, the second supposed form of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly/vaguely similar to Mew’s design.
- In case you missed our correction the other day, the Starters’ final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting.

Mirror’s Edge was okay, really good at the parkour, shit with combat and enemies, but that IP is practically dead.
Dante’s Inferno was good, but like Mirror’s Edge, currently dead.
And Dragon Age 2 was fucking shit, so i dont hold much hope.
It’s all about the money with EA, so i dont expect a Mirror’s Edge or Dante’s Inferno sequel.

The site explicitly states these are rumours, if you don’t want to hear about rumours, nothing is keeping you from not reading the article.
I like the less HMs thing. They should have it where those are just moves to use outside of battle. When we only have 4 move slots i’d prefer not to have to use one on those moves..even if they are usually pretty good.
Most HM’s kinda suck. The main exception being surf and maybe strength for a normal STAB move.
Fly is decent too.

I understand why theyre there, but it got to the point where you constantly needed to have like 9 HM’s in your party, and especially water Pokemon, you have Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool and Dive, it renders your Pokemon useless.
If in honest, HM’s are kind of restrictive on my gameplay. Id enjoy the game WAY more if i could choose any Pokemon i wanted, without thinking “i need one to Fly, one to Surf, one for Strength, one for Rock Smash”
I’d prefer it if HM’s were items instead, for you have a little dingy boat instead of Surf, for Strength all your Pokemon just hell you push the boulder ect, free up the space and let us carry the 6 Pokemon we want, rather than what we need.
hopefully the starters stats are as balanced as their duel types.

I will definitely be annoyed if these final evolution types are true like everyone for some reason wants. The point is that each starter is supposed to have an advantage over the other, and Fire/Psychic is a terrible type combination anyway.

I hope your rival doesn’t end up giving you his or her starter Pokemon. Why would that be a thing? I want to rematch my rivals with a strong team. That’s kinda gone if they get rid of his or her strongest Pokemon!

According to this, the friendly rival gives you their started so I would guess that you can still have rematchs against the competetive one. They are probably the better trainer anyways.
Maybe their idea was that pancham isnt evil and with the influence of a dark type it evolves if this stuff is true
I think this all sounds plausible. The one thing is Meowstick… that is close to Meowth and just sounds kind of odd? Also I like the holding 3DS upside down. It is a new way to evolve that still isn’t to complicated. The thing that makes this sound real for me: Fairy type is weak againts Poison (according to other rumors) and there is both a new fairy type move and a poison move. It just seems to all work very well together. In the video it showed a male character in a forest and the female around the corner so I am betting that whichever one you do not choose will become your friend and the competitive one will be the same no matter what.
Stopped following pokwmon after heart gold. Theres to many pokemon and personally i think its a gimmick,maybe im just getting older :/

Same here. I only played through Pokémon Diamond, and I couldn’t get myself interested in any more. Well, I bought Emerald, HeartGold and both Black & White versions (White), but I can’t get myself to play them. They all feel like just one LONG, extended game.
What in the HECK is the point of receiving your rival’s fully evolved starter Pokemon after beating the game? You don’t play a game anymore after beating it. At least I don’t. I don’t see any point in continuing playing.
Because Pokemon games have an incredible amount of content left after the main game.

People actually consider EA good?
They don’t have a single good IP. They killed Mass Effect. Dragon Age 2 was god fuckin awful, and I doubt 3 will change anything, specially considering The Witcher 3 is coming out as well. Mirrors Edge was god tier, but I hope to god they never touch it again because nothing good will come out of it. Dead Space died with 3. Battlefield died with 3 (trying to turn Battlefield into COD was a really smart business practice.)
It saddens me that some people will actually eat the shit EA gives them.
And this is not to mention terrible business practices hidden behind their gay community support. I have nothing against it gays, but when people complained about ME3, they called the fans homophobics, when they were voted the worst company in the US, same excuse and so on. The way they represent the gay community is completely tasteless. Would I be gay, I’d be deepy offended, because the way they write characters (or Bioware in this case) is just retarded. A character should be interesting first. Sexual orientation should come second, if it even needs to be there.

the reason why gay characters were added and that you could have the option of being gay was for more than just that. Firstly it’s an RPG, you can customize your character to your liking. secondly, you could already have a gay female romance in previous games but not gay male, so it was a double standard. lastly, some creators themselves will be gay or bi, and most likely (same for players)want to have the option, instead of being forced to be single or in an hetero relationship.
