Online gaming publication Kotaku has received more proof that the Wii U 8GB Basic package will be discontinued. The site received an internal flyer from US retail chain Best Buy stating that “stores should pull all new in box units and send them back” on June 10-11. “Stores should expect to see more Wii U deluxe units arriving in the coming weeks.” Nintendo of America previously said that they were just recalling and rebalancing supply. Sounds as though Nintendo will possibly begin selling the 32GB Deluxe console at $300.
Thanks to everyone that emailed this in.
