Arc System Works, the developer behind arcade 2D fighting game, Guilty Gear, has told fans that if they want Guilty Gear Xrd on the Wii U then it’s worth them signing this petition that is floating around the web. Guilty Gear Xrd is the fifth installment of the popular Guilty Gear series. The game runs on Unreal Engine 3 and is due to be released in the arcades first, before presumably coming to consoles.

agreed, but with guilty gear, its entertaining and flashy and cool no matter how much you play it. it has flare while injustice is just a dark and muddy game. its basically the western industrys take on 2d fighters and it was just kind of blech. but Xrd is going to be great and I cant wait to beat people up with may. Can you blame them? Imagine how expensive these projects are, and how much work goes into the games, developers won’t want to put their efforts to waste on a console that most likely wont sell. It’s NINTENDO’s job to develop repuation and momentum for the Wii U, not anyone else’s.

I honestly prefer to classify as an action/platform multiplayer game. I simply can’t put it in the same category as Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Street Fighter etc. If others consider it a fighting game, I won’t blame them but it doesn’t feel like one to me.
Smash bros is a fighting game. I fight people in it. It has unique mechanics that offer great freedom when playing.

Let’s be serious. This won’t sell on WiiU. Persuading Nintendo fans to buy anything other than first party games is extremely difficult. Everybody else can just buy it for their other consoles.
Even Nintendo fans, and Nintendo gamers, will buy third party games.
As long as theyre not butchered down editions, like most of the games we have received.
Only “Nintendo gamers” that do not buy anything except Nintendo first party titles and ecxclusives, are usually gaming on other platforms.

That only Nintendo was able to make decent games. Ubisoft sold Just Dance games pretty well on it.

Epic Mickey sold a lot more on Wii too.
Call of Duty 3 sold pretty well compared to ps360 too.
Resident Evil 4, even though being a port from GC sold also well.

Wii U in another hand, has potential to run any game, even ps4 and xb1 games, with a little toning down graphics shits.

But most 3rd party support has been watered down and late ports.
