Nintendo is bringing its Wii U console to Navy Pier in Chicago as part of a six-city tour to give people a chance to experience second-screen gaming for themselves. The tour is free and open to the public, and will include hands-on time with a wide selection of Wii U games, including Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, LEGO City Undercover, Resident Evil Revelations from Capcom and Injustice: Gods Among Us from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. (Playable games may vary by location.)

Visitors will be able to play all these Wii U games in a comfortable, living room setting surrounded by backdrops of some of Nintendo’s most beloved characters. Visitors can even pose for pictures with props from various Nintendo franchises and Tweet photos of the event with a unique hashtag to receive a special gift while supplies last. The event takes place June 28-July 21: 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays
and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturdays at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611

          1. Oh. Wow, that guy must be really board. I usually know when there’s a new post by going on a different tab on WorldPress.com. It automatically refreshes the page and let’s me know how many new articles were posted even when I’m on a different tab. I feel gullible >.<

            1. @Anubis That’s pretty neat. With regards to comments I would like to implement Disqus, which is used on a number of sites. However, WordPress has informed me that due to them hosting the blog there’s no way to add an alternative commenting system. I will keep an eye out and see if anything changes.

          1. I think anybody who has time and nothing to do and knows that they are most likely the first to comment should post as Why U Mad? to continue the hated tradition. Lol!

    1. I’m going to embrace the constant firat posts to get mine on the top.

The tour is really cool. Although the demos we had here on Orlando weren’t the best, I went every weekend to play with random strangers. Talking to the guests and selling the system like I was a guru. I even helped some of them to explain games and all. People seemed way more interested once they actually got to play with it. One question a father asked me was ” how is the game library” tough to answer that one and make the Wii U seem like a good investment. All of the other features sell themselves once they see it in action

      1. F*** off.

All the trolling here is nothing but ridiculous.

As well as sick guys like Aeolus, Retardedward (Nintedward), Jellyfish and Ness.

          1. I remember seeing him before I started to post here. He’s just another troll lurker. You aren’t that troll lurker!

        1. FUCK YOU FULL TIME TROLLS, FUCK SICKR, FUCK PACHTER, FUCK THE ADMINS AND FUCK THIS SITE!
I WILL KEEP POSTING THIS UNTIL THE FUCKING ADMINS DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THE FUCKING “FIRST” TROLLS AND THE THE FLAME WARS
SILENCE ME BUT NOT THEM, AND YOU PROVE MY POINT, I AM NOT A TROLL, I’M A PISSED OFF USER THAT’S TIRED OF THE IRRELEVANT BULLSHIT IN THE FUCKING COMMENTS ON THIS SITE AND I WILL NOT REST UNTIL EITHER THIS IS PROPERLY DEALT WITH BY THE LAZY CUNTS WE HAVE FOR ADMINS, OR THIS SITE IS DESTROYED

    1. What do you mean? They were in Schaumburg, thats not too far of a drive, I made it, and im in north chicago.

      1. Then again, my parents aren’t the type of guys who like to drive to a gaming center that’s not close to us. They are more used to going anywhere that’s nowhere past 147th street is it has nothing to do with a vacation.

  2. I can’t wait till these new games are actually in stores so I can buy and play them on my console I bought 8 FUCKING MONTHS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. the windy city chicago!!!!!! maybe the wind will blow so hard it will hit nintendo so hard that it hits them (snap…. the wii u…. NEEDS GAMES) fire iwata and reggie, also scrape the rest!!!! (months later nintendo is relevant again and nintendo is as good as they once were) fanboys why were we so stupid…… why!!!!! were we that stupid to defend crap!!!!!

    1. Remember that scene from Jurassic Park… The dinosaur tour?
      Remember Malcom’s comment?
“Um, will we actually be seeing dinosaurs on this dinosaur tour?”

Um, will we actually be seeing WiiU games on this next Gen console?

We’ll have invented transporter travel before WiiI has a respectable Library.
I shouldn’t go so hard on it… It is a new console, it’s not like it’s almost been out a year….

  4. Oh look! AMERICANS get to try unreleased Wii U games before anyone else in the world. WHAT A SURPRISE!

Fucking Americans always get the best opportunities. I take comfort in the knowledge that your government, justice system and economy and all FUBAR.

  6. Hey Sickr are these the demos the same as the ones shown at E3 2013, or are they the older ones, from last year? Any help would be appreciated.
