Yesterday, July 15th, 2013, marked the 30th anniversary of the Famicom, known as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in regions outside Japan. Because Nintendo has been in the home video game console business for 30 years, company president Satoru Iwata says he thinks Nintendo isn’t suffering.
“Coming from thirty years in the home console business, I don’t think we’re suffering,” Iwata told Japanese newspaper Nikkei Shinbun.
Practically every company has its ups and downs, so Iwata’s comment is perfectly reasonable.

But yeah, watched tons of impressions videos, everyones loving KI right now, and watched interviews and DH clearly really care about the game, and it’s history and making a fun and core fighting game, and they’re very self aware of criticism of their past stuff, they flat out basically admit it, although clearly budget was a big issue, but they’re asking for feedback from the community, and like literally from E3 to EVO, they already made the blood more visible and land on te ground like old KI, and teaked the gameplay, added shadow counters, counter breakers, all because the community asked for it.
Honestly, because PS4’s launch games arent THAT interssting to me, i could go for a X1 first because of KI. Im hyped.

People are still salty over the Xbox One. That’s understandable. It wasn’t the developers fault. They went to EVO, set up a whole booth, had a new build with fan suggested additions, got on stage to tease Chief Thunder, they’re working around it, i applaud them for that.
Fact is, anyone who looks at the Xbox One and still calls it “Xbone”, is childish.
I’m not saying MS deserve to have people running back to them, they fcked up, and turned alot of people over to the PS4, but it’s not a bad system anymore. Okay yeah the 3DS is doing fantastic but what about Wii U? I mean Nintendo is treating that like Sony was treating the Vita. They barely supported, had barely any support, and won’t market the damn thing. Nintendo needs to quit getting all cocky because the 3DS is a monster seller and get their head in the game with Wii U.
Nintendo isn’t suffering, the Wii U is. But that will change soon. Pikmin 3 will cause a good increase in sales. If not, then just watch Super Mario 3D World do that. Super Mario 3D Land started selling 3DS’s like a motherfucker, so I’m certain 3D World will have a similar effect on the Wii U. After that, there will be Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros 4, Bayonetta 2, Yarn Yoshi, Sonic Lost World, and Batman Arkham Origins
Overall as a company, Nintendo isnt suffering. The 3DS brings Nintendo truckfuls of money every day. They are not in the red. On the Wii U side its not really suffering, but its not a success. Its just kinda sitting there lol. Sony is the company thats suffering lol.

All great things have its ups and downs. As we all know many great games are on the way, and I’m more than willing to wait :) Is Nintendo suffering? Not in my opinion, but I can understand why some would say it is considering nothing Major has been released yet. I’m glad I got Wii U when I did, but I do wish something major was out now, like Mario, Zelda or Pikmin.

The Wii U hasn’t had a lot of support during its first year, we get that. It also needs a better advertising campaign, we get that too. The mainstream gaming media, if they had their way with it all and all their words were gospel, would have killed the Wii U before the likes of Smash Bros et al even released, yet the Wii U is still waiting for people to buy it. There needs to be a reason for people to pick up the console, and those reasons are coming soon. It also doesn’t help when the nearest fucktard is bitching at Nintendo because they picked up Bayonetta 2 when ultimately I bet they haven’t played the original.
Where there’re games, people will come. A console isn’t doomed after 9 months, and games take a while to be developed.

It’s not that Nintendo is doomed; I very much doubt that would ever happen, nor would I want it to. But they certainly aren’t in the best position they have ever been in regarding their relationship with the industry and consumers. We can only hope that this improves in the future, but honestly, regarding their home console business, I can only see it getting worse. Let’s just be grateful for the ongoing success of the 3DS.
More good news. I now hear there are at least 4 Wii U games that breached top ten and has been out for awhile in Japan. If Pikmin 3 has the power to do this, we still have more 2013 games not yet released. 101, 3D Mario, Ray man Legends, DKTF, Windwaker and more before New Year’s.

Pikmin is No. 1 while Luigi U is no. 7 What’s strange is the info is hard to find. Its almost as the media doesn’t want that info released. Will I’m releasimg it damn it! Pikmin 3 outsold The Last of Us. In fact Pikmin 3 sold over 100k in just two days.
See all the Wii U needed was games that wasn’t ported and was and people actually wanted to play. Now if you want to know if that brought the Hardware sales up. That I donot have that info. But hey the journalist wants to bring up these same old Wii U is doomed, price cuts or Nintendo is going under. Yet we see hardly anything rehashed about Sony going backrupt and needing to sell their headquarters and how badly it needs to sell its PS4 in order to get out of the red and into the black.
Also you don’t see a rehashed title about how EA’s or Capcom’s money problems neither. If anything about EA, the media will be sure to post how they don’t want to make games on the Wii u.

They arent suffering, they have most relevant gamin device ever which is 3DS. That thing is the best system for gamin, only things that can rival it are Snes,All Gameboys,DS and Sony homeconsoles, but none of them cant stand against 3DS the king of gamin.
