Nintendo of Europe & The Pokémon Company International today announced the upcoming Wii U Nintendo eShop release of Pokémon Rumble U: a fun packed action game, with intuitive controls and wild battles.
Pokémon Rumble U is the tale of the Toy Pokémon’s great adventure: after a mishap in the Toy Pokémon Shop, a few Pokémon capsules are swept down a river and washed up on a strange riverbank. Our heroes set out to find their way back to the Toy Pokémon Shop. Along the way our heroes discover all is not right: Can you help our friends discover why some of the Toy Pokémon are fighting each other, and what the enemy Pokémon are plotting?
Featuring every last one of the 649 Pokémon that have been discovered as far as Pokémon Black Version 2, and Pokémon White Version 2, with hundreds of moves to master Pokémon Rumble U will provide hours of entertainment for fans and new comers alike.
Pick up and play controls will allow players to jump in and play solo, or with friends, as they accompany our intrepid heroes on their quest to return to the Pokémon Toy Shop. They will pass through a variety of fun-packed locations, like Sparkly Playland, Mysterious Forest, and Blue Sky Park.
In Pokémon Rumble U the more Pokémon you defeat the more Pokémon you can befriend: different types of Pokémon have different strengths and weaknesses, so strategies can be developed to exploit these factors in battle.
Other surprises and pick-ups will crop up along the way – which will help strengthen the team, restore health, or cause damage to the opponents. Pikachu and friends will encounter Giant Bosses, and players can even use the Wii U GamePad to set off Touch Bombs when faced with many Pokémon in battle at once!
Up to four players can enjoy multiplayer battles: with cooperative play to defeat the strongest enemies with team work, or head to head battles to see who can defeat and befriend the most Pokémon in one go.
The game launches on August 15th exclusively for download via the Nintendo e-Shop on Wii U.

I’m not entirely sure to be honest. The only details I have on the European version of the game is what is contained in the post. NFC would be great.
Would be really disapointing if they decided to leave it out for whatever reason.

Unlike many here I suspect, I actually enjoyed Super Pokémon Rumble on the 3DS. I’ll look to pick this one up alongside The Wonderful 101.

I am not sure I will get the Wii U version since it is like arena battle over and over. I like the Nintendo 3DS version due to RPG elements in the game.

Well in her (forgive me for using wrong pronoun) defence, Pokemon series games usually sell consoles. You are right that “Hey You Pikachu” did not sell the consoles well.
What I am saying that any Pokemon games in the series release will mostly likely increase the sale of the consoles. Pokemon series is one of the most sold games (including spin-off as well) in the world.
Now can we get a release stateside?
Seriously, it be fucking great if people could stop buying any game just because it’s Pokémon. Why would Game Freak make something good if the costumer doesn’t give a shit, and buys everything anyway. If people would hold their money in their wallets for this one, then maybe the companies know that they have to do better to get your money with their next game. As a huge Pokémon fan, this shit is disappointing.
Fucking poop, why would they even consider this game for the Wii U? If I was a gamefreak dev and I saw the Wii U, the first things that would come to my mind is MMO, Pokemon Snap and OPEN WORLD. Not a sequeal to a poorly received game.
Exactly! But plenty of people will buy it nonetheless, so I can only imagine Game Freak laughing their asses off, looking at dumbasses that are making them rich for crappy app quality games.
Seriously, how much work would a Snap sequel be? If they’ve got some nice models, and backgrounds, all they need is to make use of the gyroscope in the gamepad to emulate a real camera, and BINGO! They’d have a quality game. Instead we get this nonsense…

This game is fucking trash, we want a Pokemon MMO with HD graphics, voice chat, all regions and DLC. THAT IS WHAT WILL SELL, Not this mediocre cow manure.
