    1. Uhh hello! this is not good news :( games r 2 hard all redy .. i cant even get pased the first levle in super mario bros. on the nintendo entertanment sistem! Im gonna have 2 pas on this 1.

        1. Hope it’s not some hero mode where :
1 you have to complete the game to access it
2 just makes your damage doubled

          1. Lol the damage you take should go up 8x if anything xD bombs and the majority of enemies only do 1/4 damage in wind waker

          2. I completely agree with #1. I always like to play the hardest difficulty, but I when I beat the game, I don’t want to play it again immediately!

Though, sadly, I think this will be the case. In every Zelda game that’s had a hard mode, or “secondary mode” it always unlocks after beating it.

            1. Well the hard mode will probably just be a revamped ‘pajama quest’ which you usually unlock after completing windwaker

  1. I could never get past the castle where you are not supposed to be seen. Fairly in the beginning of the game.I suck at it so i will not buy this one. It bugs me because I really wanted to like this game. Oh well

    1. come on man. that was extremely easy. no reason to give up on the whole game. give it another shot. look at playthroughs if you need help.

    2. How old are you? That part of the game is supposed to be fairly simple. Did you ever try hiding under the barrels?

        1. If it makes you feel better, I hated that part too – I was so relieved when I finally was past it! ;-)

  2. Something like challenge mode in Skyward Sword perhaps? Wouldn’t be complaining anyway, it’s nice to shake things up a bit

  3. Sounds legit, love tv offplay.I plan on buying this.Never played original, but wonder what the harder difficulty entails..

        1. Ocarina of Time only has 1 remake, the 3DS one.
The Wii Virtual Console version and the Collector’s Edition GameCube versions are just ports. And the GameCube Master Quest edition is a port with a new difficulty level.

    1. Indeed, I have to avenge myself…

Anyway, if this higher difficulty only means the implementation of Hero Mode or Master Quest then I’m not interested by this news…

But if it means harder bosses with new attacks and so on, day one purchase for me because the only issue I have with Zelda games are the very easy bosses…

MM is the hardest 3D game by far but not very hard as a game although challenging enough…

      1. Don’t you imagine, if you were the designers, that’s exactly what you’d love to do? …Use the horsepower to improve AI, animations… Giving your fans something that feels like it used to but plays even better.

        1. Yes I would…

I was actually going to become a Game Artist but decided to skip it since I got into my dream program…

I wonder though if people would still think the Wii U to be underpowered if Xbox Done and PS4 were to be about the same…

However we still do not know the real power behind the Wii U no matter what all these “facts” tell us…

          1. Until we’ve seen the final versions of, at the very least, this game, the next new 3d Zelda game, Pikmin 3, Smash Bros. 4, and (if they choose to make one) the next Mario game with a full overworld, we still won’t know what the system can actually do, in terms of graphics or game design.

  4. How hard is normal difficulty in the Gamecube version compared to other 3D Zelda games? This is the only 3D Zelda I haven’t played yet.

    1. I found it on the easier side. It doesn’t have the far too obnoxious and confusing water level thing going for it like some of the other 3D Zelda’s did.

    1. yeep, miiverse support, off-tv support, and gamepad support, aren’t totally the reasons i bought a wii u! nonsensical!

  5. Looking forward to this game as I missed the original. Nice to see they’re putting some new things in it. The message in a bottle Miiverse should be fun.

  6. I felt that the challenge was perfectly blended in Wind Waker. But I would LOVE a super hard mode. Although sometimes when a game is TOO hard, it kills the fun. What frustrates me to no end is when a game has no different ending or unlockables for completing the hard mode. There’s no excuse for that.

      1. Maybe for YOU it’s not the purpose. There should be something to reward the gamer with for beating a game on hard mode. Not the same exact ending.

  7. Aonuma’s statements contradict this. But I’m ready for a day when WW Link loses more than 1/4 heart from monsters and bombs

    1. At first the texture looks muddy but if you see it in motion it looks like a painting. Very awesome graphical style but I prefer it to not be used again in the new zelda.

      1. Nintendo should just make a dolphin emulator thats compatible to Wii U. It can’t be that hard, can it? Then they can put all of the Wii and Gamecube games on virtual console in HD.

        1. im not asking the world just a ear speaker mic witch seem suddenly to disapear from the earth the moment wiiu released

they are putting there virtual console games on wiiu in hd

  8. If this HD does well we can expect another next year but of what game? Sunshine? Double Dash? Mario Party HD collection? Budokai tenkaichi 3 HD?(I really hope we get it next year don’t care if its for PS4) That GC Animal crossing HD? Those 2 GC Pokemon game packed in one in HD? Sonic Riders HD(Or a this gen version of Gem collection?)

  9. What would make me completely lose it:
    1. Hard mode available from the start
    2. “You’ve beaten Hard mode! Congratulations: Very Hard mode unlocked! Dual-sword wielding unlocked!” :O

  10. I’d like to take this opportunity to wave goodbye to Phil Fish, a guy who took a giant dump all over every single Japanese developer on the planet, and has now rage quit the industry after one person dared to criticise him.

God damn pretentious arsehole indie developers.

    1. I don’t know, I know a rumor was around miiverse about how they were working wind waker and what changes they’ll make like the tingle tuner replaced with the tingle bottle and how the game will be for both hardcore and casual nintendo gamers alike. If I’m seeing this right, this is the only or 2/3 the answer of that rumor. Zelda OoT 3ds did make the game harder specially with the redeads taking more and quicker damage than they did before. If they are combining it with wind waker (second quest, pajamas link) and skyward sword double damage quest (hero mode), we are in for a good fight, which I may add makes me happy to hear reguardless if the ending is the same or not. It makes me feel better to accomplish what was ment to be in the first place. Harder Ganondorf fight, enemies give you more damage, the better the fights, the better the game, period.

  11. I’d love it if they either:

    a) Finished the two additional dungeons they weren’t able to, or
    b) did something more like Master Quest, with different puzzles and layouts (which were usually more challenging).

Otherwise, I can’t really see myself buying this.

  12. It took this many years, to make a gamecube port. They had better make this mode very different from original ww, not some “you take twice damage”. They spend soo long to just port a gamecube title. They had better have used all that time to make the game a new experience for veterans. I hope the difficulty setting is available from the beginning.

  14. ..All true Zelda fans know that all the Zelda Games already have a hard mode included in the game, it’s called “3heart mode” you play the entire game using only the first three starting hearts you recieve at the begining of each game. When you defeat a Boss fight, you leave the heart container where it drops, and you do not collect enough heart pieces to gain a new heart container slot. Trust me it adds a whole new dimension to playing through all of the games, especially in Some of the older titles (Skyward Sword Hard Mode that you unlock after the first run through the game, is particularly difficult when attempting to obtain the final Shield Upgrade from the the challenge involving defeating all of the games bosses, with only three hearts..) But doesn’t every Zelda Fan aspire to be able to say they have played through all the content, completely finished all of the games? Play them all with only three hearts.. I can’t say I have done this, but it is fun..

  15. i love the idea, ive been wanting them to make the Zelda games with settings like this for a while. Just my only issue would be the system, could you make it for other ones too, not just WiiU.

    1. Wouldn’t happen.
The 3DS traditionally gets its own unique entries in the franchise, ports of old games not included.
If you meant systems outside of Nintendo systems, though, then you’re barking up the wrong Deku Tree.
Zelda isn’t a third party franchise.
