Call Of Duty Ghosts Website No Longer Lists Free Fall DLC For Wii U

call of duty ghosts

A few weeks ago we noticed that the Call of Duty Ghosts pre-order page had the Free Fall DLC listed underneath the Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the highly anticipated game. Now it appears as though the Free Fall DLC is no longer listed for the Wii U version. This is particularly disappointing if true, as Activision has previously stated that they will do everything they can do to make the Wii U a success.

Thanks, Exy

        1. And has that been openly confirmed by anyone? Even the media? No? Then I blame Activision and others. Why? Because all I hear from them including EA (biggest whiners), Ubisoft (traitors in the making), WB (Corporate Two-Face) is weak ass lies and excuses.

            1. One community manager who was probably told before hand to say what they wanted him to say. Not enough to prove or buy into a whole company’s lie.

  1. happens every year :/, other systems will rise and the wii u will be left in the dust and forgotten about. just like the wii…

      1. Sales don’t mean a damn thing with Wii, it came out before tablets and smartphones. Of course it sold in the millions.

        1. also, smartphones and tables mean nothing, as the Wii is a gaming console, not a smart phone
not to mention that if that logic applies, then the 3DS wouldnt be the best and fastest selling handheld on themarket

          1. Yes, it sold millions… But just because it was the cheapest console available. I own a Wii and despite I enjoyed many games, the sad truth is that the Wii sold so many consoles because of its low price and how easy it was to hack the console and get your games for free…

              1. True. But unlike with X360, the Wii had no consequences after hacking. But on X360, you did it at your own risk because of the Xbox Live ban. But really, Wii sold millions thanks to the low price. Many parents just bought the cheapest console for their kids and said “hey, it has Mario, my kids will enjoy it, besides, it’s so cheap!”. Any console that’s cheap and has good games will be a popular success, even though the real ‘core’ gaming community would be like “……”. I’m not saying the Wii had no games for gamers. It did! And some of the best games of this past generation are on the Wii (some are even exclusives!), but still, the console was cheap and it had some good games… There’s no other answer for Wii’s success. And even beyond the few good games, the low price….

    1. Enough with self-pity…

If this is true AGAIN, time to boycott every single one of them except the Segans and for the meantime the Ubisoftians…

I’m done with the rest, specially the Electron Army ever since they pulled the plug on Spore…

      1. How does boycotting do anything but hurt Nintendo and it chances of receive legit versions of 3rd party games? I love most Nintendo games but I did not buy this system with the intention of only playing 1st parties.

        1. How about they make the Wii U version just as good as the rest?…

Why would I pay the same amount of money as the other versions when it has missing features or other things even the Xbox360 gets?…

If they want my support, how about the Wii U version is 20% cheaper instead then I would not have a problem…

It’s not our or High Command’s problem that their games don’t sell quite good on Nintendo consoles because they most of the times make a lesser version or a different game that’s hardly comparable to the others…

Like the Ubisoftians just said a while ago…

The Wii U was an “Experiment Floor” so that they could put their real efforts on non Nintendo machines and I’m sure others follow the same path…

          1. That’s a terrible argument. The Wii U version should cost just as much, wether or not you get DLC, because you’re paying for exactly what’s on the Xbox or PS# disc. Wether or not you get the option of paying more money for extra content is irrelevant.

            1. You must be another sucker who bought BO2 regardless just like me. But the difference is I realize the truth of these companies treatment on Nintendo fans.

I’m hoping either this will change fast or Nintendo takes action and sue these lying assholes good.

              1. No, I just have a knowledge of how business and the game industry works and am trying to be logical about this. Also, I don’t have it on Wii U, I don’t even own one yet.

            2. do your research we don’t get the same game they only gave us almost all of the options on bo2 all of the other games we got jipped badly.

    1. Its not about the DLC. Its about the equal incentives Nintendo fans deserves on 3rd party ports and given a choice that they want to buy and play.

These assholes are intentionally limiting Wii U out because of whatever dumbass reason its causing this either business or personal vendetta because of Nintendo’s past.

    1. Its never about their online service I bet. It may have had EA bitching around because of Origin, but I haven’t heard any company complaining about its online service terms.

Something needs to be done about these companies’s lies and gimping of their Wii U games and right now, I’m dead straight up looking at all of the 3rd parties condemning Wii U for nothing.

      1. I’ve heard of companies generally having problems with getting their DLC on the Nintendo store, and Activision is probably the best example. Apparently they’d been having talks with Nintendo about bringing the DLC to the console from March to July.

    2. Sad… but with every negative news that Nintendo just lay there and take… it gets very apparent Nintendo just does not care and feel they will sell consoles once again on the strength of their 1st and 2nd party games. For me… there is a reason why I once again will be a two console owner. I have the WiiU and already pre-order my PS4.

  2. I always knew this BS wasn’t true and here it is by cold facts. Another fucking gimped game that doesn’t deserve the underappreciated treatment its giving. Nintendo, its time to get new 3rd party partners because these fuckers are blindly taking advantage of your gamers and lying through their damn teeth about giving Wii U equal treatment. Not only that, its time to fucking sue those bastard companies for intentional sabotage of your console. You paid them and this is what they’re doing? SUE THEM ALL FOR YOUR MONEY BACK.

I’m so fucking tired of this shit. Can someone create a petition to all these 3rd parties to stop with their bullshit on Wii U.

    1. Nintendo should actually help Activision. The reason BLOPS 2 hand no DLC was because they couldn’t get it on Nintendo’s online network (whether that’s getting it working or just being unable to put it on the store I don’t know).

      1. Bull because I’ve seen other 3rd party games having DLC without a problem. What excuse do these pricks have this time is the question after they openly promised this and that for Wii U.

        1. A warning to all those 3rd parties that keep shafting the Wii U and/or making bad versions of a game: you keep this crap up and everyone will just end up pirating all your games because this is getting ridiculous.

  3. Maybe we are barking at the wrong tree. It has been a pattern that 3rd party are either not bringing dlc, having it delayed or nothing at all. Maybe Nintendo has to reach out and make it easy for this publishers/developers.

    1. Bullshit. Everything about the 3rd party treating the Wii U gamers including Ubiliars (Ubisoft) is all bullshit. That’s why I’m not buying another damn piece of shit software from them. They all have lost my respect, trust and my wallet completely after this.

    2. That would be good, Activision went on record saying they had trouble bringing it to Nintendo’s network, I suspect because they had issues putting it on the store.

  4. Don’t be so foolish. No DLC is for our own good. This sounds odd, but it is true.

Matchmaking in cod is weird. It only searches for people with the exact same combination of DLC packs as you.

So let us say you have DLC pack 1 and 3. It won’t search for people with 1. It wont search for people with 3. It will search for people with both. This also applies tope order DLC.

So aside from ruining matchmaking, it would also make the only playable mode TDM. And don’t argue “It is for the principle”, because if you really cared, you wouldnt ask for DLC that could make the game unplayable.

    1. Simple solution; buy all the DLC or don’t whine.

And it IS down to the principle of the matter.
No matter how you try to downplay it, having LESS CONTENT compared to versions on competing consoles is NOT going to increase the sales of ANY version of ANY game on ANY system.

WE ARE NOT THIRD CLASS CITIZENS IN THE GAMING COMMUNITY!
We deserve better treatment than this from game makers.

The DLC hasn’t made the game unplayable for other consoles, it wouldn’t do so for the Wii U. That’s a blatant fact.

      1. You get just as much content when buying the game as the other consoles, you just don’t have the option of paying more money for DLC.

And you can be treated as third class citizens, you’re in the minority. That’s how it works in any system with different groups and different needs, the majority have their needs tended to first.

      2. You said that it hasn’t made it unplayable on other consoles. Need I remind you that they have 500,000 people on, and many more dedicated players? They have a larger matchmaking pool. For peak times in Black Ops 2, er had 4,500 online. DLC would ruin that game.

You also said “buy every DLC pack”. For one, I shouldn’t be forced to spend 120 dollars on the game. And again, how many people are going to buy all of those DLC packs?

There is no winning situation here. We are screwed either way, but it’s due to our numbers, not Activision.

        1. And it certainly isn’t you with your blind hatred of third parties and lack of knowledge about how business works.

          1. Leave it up to you acting intelligent through a PC screen to change the subject in your favor. Don’t try to lecture me how business practices works when their are multiple but only one golden rule that most business should oblige: Customer Satisfaction. You yourself don’t understand business more than a child reading a “Business for dummies” book.

My so called “3rd party hatred” is more than justified like every other thousand Wii U gamers hoping for a promised equal quality 3rd party games because all I see and hear from these “partners” publicly are lies and unnecessary gimping Wii U ports of huge games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, COD: Ghosts/Black Ops 2, Sniper V2, Batman: Arkham Origins, I can keep up this list call all week.

      3. There is a difference in having a player base online 200,000 on Ps or Xbox, than having 2400 online on the Wii U.

        Thats a fact!

  5. Same thing again, huh?… Well, guess it won’t be a problem to buy Blops 2 or Ghosts, after all, both of them are the same lacking-content game…. Still, this is pure bullshit.

  6. Until Activision actually confirms no Dlc for WiiU then we shouldn’t be too hard on em. If they do confirm no dlc though, let em know with your wallets folks, boycott the shit out of thier games!

    1. I don’t think that will help because they have 4 other platforms to milk cash from so boycotting wouldn’t matter. Maybe a legal action from Nintendo would shake me up.

  7. No sense getting all crazy til we hear something official. All preorder sites still list the DLC as a bonus for the Wii U version.

  8. This is very disappointing. This game looked awesome. But its lack of content certainly gives potential owners pause. I had BO2 and traded it in. I had high hopes for this one but I may just end up skipping this and buying a real excusive like WW or Sonic..
It really bothers me when people on here that don’t even own a wiiU tell other gamers to boycott a said game when they themselves aren’t even supporting the wiiu…Make up your own mind. I still think this game will sell well. It just doesn’t look as promising as it once did

  9. Activision, can you just put the entire fucking game with all the fucking DLC, for the fucking console, for real? Paying 60 bucks for an incomplete game, again? no, not this time.

  10. Funny that this happened the same day as microsoft secured dedicated servers for ghosts from activision. Wonder if microsoft had anything to do with this. If it ends up true I am cancelling my preorder and waiting for used or bargain bin. Someone should sue them for false advertisement over this and bo2 which even states dlc on package and was on their websites.

  11. im still getting this game i love cod as well as any FPS but yeah i dont care for DLC because cod is a yearly game so why invest 100 dollars in a game thats just gana get old. oh yeah i want solder of fortune for next GEN.

    1. Only mistake that will be done here is dolts like you believing their transparent crap even EA and Ubisoft is making a habit of.

  12. How many units has nintendo sold of the Wii U? last I heard the Wii was still outselling it. How many units of B Ops was sold for the Wii 1.2 million in a year I think, B Ops2 is just about 220k ten months into it, with an online community of approx 3k, how on earth do you think any game company is going to push for DLC with such poor numbers?

Nintendud has still OPTED TO DISSALLOW DLC and are still trying to court “casual gamers” the poor Wii u sales shoulda told them that the “casual gamers” have already moved on to table & smart phone apps that give them the very games that Nintendud said gave it the edge.

You are looking at the difference between dedicated servers (xbox and ps have) and makeshift fo-servers that Nintendud is getting by with. I truly believed the Wii U was going to be different, but I only bought one (have two Wii’s) because I am familiar with Iwata’s additude towards online gamers, I had hoped but I knew what was going to happen.

Till Iwata steps down from Nintendo, us online gamers will continue to be snubbed. You bought into the BS Nintendud’s been feeding you, it’s not the game makers.

  14. Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to grasp a
lot approximately this, like you wrote the e-book in it or
something. I believe that you could do with some % to drive the message
home a little bit, however other than that, this is wonderful blog.

An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
