Nintendo has walked away with a few awards from this year’s Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany. Mario Kart 8 was voted the best game on the Wii U and the best overall family game at the show. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was awarded the accolade of best mobile game at the event. Bungie’s Destiny was nominated as the best game of the show and Titan Fall for Xbox and PC was voted best next-gen game.

We here at Nintendo, always strive to win the best Wii game award. But we are proud to win best family game, and best mobile game, despite the win being default.

I just saw the PS4 Press at Gamescom. It was boring. I was expecting groundbreaking new news since PS4 wanted to get 8 cores. For 8 cores those games looked a TINY bit better than Wii U. Also that Vita as a controller reminded me who they copied that from.

jtz you are correct in that the best looking graphics and probably best game will be made by one Sony studio most likely for the PS4. As for the WiiU any of their studios can make a 1080P 60 FPS butter smooth game of great value. Monolith, level5, retro, nintendo EAD ( Pikmin ), game freak etc. It’s going to be a PS4 vs WiiU this generation, with the WiiU increasing in Japanese RPGs and third parties as most are already crawling back. Boosted by the mighty 3DS, Pikmin 3 and the CryEngine (4), for this next generation WiiU that has X on it’s way:).
What I find most curious, is that Sony’s best game was a third party game instead of a first party title like Killzone or Knack!

You know, I am going to be honest here. I came to this website because I happened upon a truly hilarious article with a bunch of fanboys spazzing at each other about Wolfenstein. But I stayed because I noticed that some of the people here actually make sense. While I absolutely DESPISE Nintendo, I respect the fact that you aren’t hypocrites or trolls, and are proud of your games. So now I’m hovering around, commenting on random things, and I’m not giving my personal details to a computer.

That aside, you know Nintendo need to market the Wii U better when a Wii U game wins a Wii game award.
