Screenshots for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS have been coming in thick and fast, but the latest one seems to hint at a possible new stage for the Wii U. The starry sky background is the key feature here, with Kirby’s character outlined in white on the foreground. And if Sakurai’s Miiverse message is anything to go by, the screenshot could possibly be teasing a new Super Mario Galaxy stage. If confirmed, the new stage would join the gorgeous Pilotwings and Metroid stages in Super Smash Bros. What do you think? Be sure to check out Sakurai’s message below.

It’s definitely a Mario Galaxy stage, you can tell by the rim lighting Kirby has. It’s the same kind of lighting effect that Mario had in the Galaxy games.
Or it could be just the battlefield stage at night. You never know.
If anything, that’ll be in the 3DS version of the game.
The Wii U version has stages based upon the console games, while the 3DS version has stages based upon the handheld games.

The Super Smash Brothers games have a different artstyle than Super Mario Galaxy, which is why Mario’s overalls is more detailed in the games.
Besides, a Wii U is more powerful than a Wii, graphics wise, so of course, it may look different (like more detailed, for example).

Actually the Vita is the one running on a Mobile Phone GPU while the Wii U is running on a 6000 HD series by AMD. Also, note that the PlayStation Vita is still not selling well at all, plus, did you forget the PS4 and Xbox One run on MOBILE GPUs… opps, did you forget to look that up? Awww sucks to be you ;)

I remember when I played Smash Bros. Brawl, I was wondering why it had no Super Mario Galaxy stages. Because even back then, Super Mario Galaxy was in stores, and I couldn’t figure out why they didn’t put a stage based on the game. So, it’s pretty inevitable that there will be a Galaxy stage in this Smash Bros.
I thought the same thing! My theory is though, generally speaking, Brawl covered games up until Gamecube. I mean. that’s not 100% actuate by any means, but generally, So now this smash bros will cover things up on Wii, and even Wii U! With how the Pikmin things are going! SO EXCITING!
Keen for a possible Xenoblade Chronicles stage or character! I doubt it’ll happen but I can hope!

As much as I want / know we’re going to get a galaxy stage. Just going off how the light is hitting Kirby it does look like galaxy. But at the same time, the backround dosn’t look cartoony or fun ehough to be galaxy. It looks really dark and sad in the space behind him. UGHH. this is so exciting!

The hammer looks like a Wii? The game looks good. Many other things look really good like Bowers Textured skin and Mario’s pant’s that aren’t possible on Wii. Thing’s like kirby’s hammer don’t need to be so detailed. Everything can’t all look high quality in a game this immense. Unless you want the frame rate to drop and really long loading times.
