Plenty of photos are doing the rounds on the internet of huge queues of Japanese people lining up to be the first to own the highly anticipated Monster Hunter 4 on the Nintendo 3DS. Japanese gaming publication Famitsu reports that there are more than 800 people lining up at Shibuya Tsutaya at 7am, eager to get their hands on the game.

I wish I would have played a Monster Hunter game so I’d understand what the big deal is.
I did but I still don’t understand..monster hunter 3 on wii had loading screens every 2 seconds, every area was so small, it irritated me and was no fun.
People like you, I just don’t understand? The loading screens weren’t as bad as you guys make it out to be, this generation is just too used to the easier games such as SMG. Don’t get me wrong, the easier games like SMG are fantastic, I’ll play them myself, however, playing online for around an hour with 3 other people, and after failing so many times, FINALLY winning, there’s just no greater joy in realizing you actually have skill in gaming
Get the game guys! I bought a Jap 3DS just for this, around 4 hours in and loving it just as much as the last, trust the 800 randoms in line haha
The WiiU and 3DS demo’s turned me off to the franchise. Horrible controls and the graphics were so-so.
I really want to like it though, so I will probably try Monster Hunter 4.

^That game is SO HARD when it comes to Japan’s geography and the fact that it isn’t localised. For Example: It tells me to go to Roppongi and stuff, but if there is no terminal that says “Roppongi” on it then I can’t find it for my life!

It really is! Ive played it for well over 48 hours and still haven’t beaten the main story line. It’s crazy good, Atlus is an amazing company and I am keeping an eye out for later projects they do. Never played a game by them before, but SMTIV has left a lasting impression. 💋
