This week’s Media Create sales charts are in from Japan. The Nintendo 3DS sales momentum continues with the platform selling 159.388 units, due in no small part to the well-received Monster Hunter 4. The platform sold an incredible 276.792 units last week. However, sales for the Wii U continue to remain in the 5,000 units territory, with no mention of a price cut for Japanese consumers. Here’s the best-selling software and hardware.

I agree, there is not enough WIIU users to support ports much less exclusive titles. WIIU doesn’t have anything to move it. Just look at Pickmin 3, everyone was saying it was a system seller and now look at it, drop fast. Because everyone that owns a WIIU bought it, so the numbers drop quickly like it did, it shows it didn’t sale anything. Zelda is not a system seller either. Now if it was not a remake it might be. It going to sell well, because everyone that owns a WIIU that likes Zelda will get it.
Yes Pikmin 3 was a system seller. It put the WiiU in the 10 000 average consoles sold in Japan for 6 weeks. System seller means a game that increases the console sold to manufactured rate at a ratio of 2:1. Even more is the fact that Pikmin 3 is a Niche great title. Cometh Mario and Luigi and smiling shall we all be :).

It would seem that since Sony is marketing the Vita as a ps4 controller, and the price cut sales would in strange.
I don’t think the price cuts (if any in Japan) or the slim model has came out already. I think it comes out in October 10th. So I figure sales will increase a little bit, if they aren’t distracted.

Pokemon X and Y and SSB4 are really going to do it for 3DS. But why arent the PS4’s controller increasing?
Their is no high profile games for the system. Wiiu had no releases in this month and still did better than vita wich has a game at number 2.

So id say when things like X or bayonetta 2 come out or even when the new Zelda gets released. The Wii U needs games that make it different from the 3ds not games that look and run similar like NSMB or DKCR or SM3DW because people won’t even consider a Wii U if that pattern continues

So who’s the 4th character on DKTF? Why isn’t 3DMW a must buy? Who’s the boss? Is it Bowser? Since when DKTF was annouced to be on 3DS? Never played them huh. Just gonna assume DKTF is the same as DKCR since they are both 2D tittles. Biased people.
I have played all of them at certain events and I can tell you this. SM3DW plays just like SM3DL, DKCTF plays just like DCKR, both sonic lost worlds are similar. When you play those 3 hands on you will say right away something like “these are just like the 3ds ones” its just the same games but in HD nothing else which is why I say you won’t be missing out.
Just because they are simular doesn’t mean it will fail on Wii U though. I mean Mario Karts and SMB4 will operate the same too. I mean if that’s the case then why buy a PS4 is PS3 is getting the same games?

You’re not understanding my point man. 3ds offers a very wide selection of 1st party Nintendo games while Wii U offers a very small amount. The Wii U’s only good 1st party exclusive that aren’t like the 3ds version is pikmin 3 and WWHD (a remake) but the 3ds has a shit load of first part great exclusives that are out and Coming out. Fire emblem awakening, Mario kart 7, super Mario 3d land, Zelda OOT3D, kingdom hearts DDD, animal crossing, Pokemon x and y, etc etc. that’s why I’m saying right now the 3ds is where all the GOOD 1st party Nintendo content is at not the Wii U which is why the 3ds is a better purchase than the Wii U right now

The thing is, Vita TV and the Vita as a controller for PS4 conflict with each other rather then really going hand and hand. The Vita TV allows you to play games with a Playstaion controller. Yet if you want a 2nd screen for PS4 games you’ll need a vita. It would have been better if the two required you need a Vita to do both.
You’re twisting your own point. First it’s because they can play the same, then it’s content? Pressing “A” for Mario to jump ain’t is also on NES and GameBoy. Now I didn’t know 3DS went to four people in a 3D world playing at the same time? Now what’s the code for mean to select Peach on 3DS? And didn’t DCKR start on Wii first? Both Wii version and 3DS versions were a success. The sequel will be a success as well adding different visuals and better barral strategies to the game.

I agree Jtz, I think the drones and haters have re-realized that nintendo is still king. I mean the money Nintendo is earning on the 3DS alone, can foot the bill for the PS3, Xboxone, PS4, WiiU, PSVita controller and PSVita home console tv. That is just how good 3DS. Also the WiiU project cars runs at a butter smooth 720P/1080 – 60fps with offscreen play in waiting.
