Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment’s worldwide studios, has told fans on Twitter that he has two Wii U consoles. Yoshida says that he has a Japanese model and an American model. Yoshida has made it clear in the past that he is a fan of Nintendo, so no doubt he had to own Nintendo’s latest home console.

Sony wanted to own all the rights to all the Nintendo franchises and game at that time. However before Nintendo signed that contract they reread over it to make sure everything was legit. Its a good thing that they did that because sony was trying to pull a fast one on Nintendo.

Sounds more like a dramatized version of what actually happened, so a Link/source/sauce would be good to affirm what you say. As what I know is the fact that, Sony would simply be getting royalties that Nintendo didn’t want to share. It was Nintendo that did the ‘Backstab’ though you make it seem like Nintendo for some reason cooperated with Sony and as a company, didn’t read any contracts and are incompetent, by what you say.
Sony was just going to get a certain % of the sales in royalties and Nintendo wanted it to themselves, simply, so Nintendo cut off the deal because they didn’t want to partner with someone who would take what I think was going to be a 70/30 or 60/40 split.

It’s already very much publicly known that for starters, being innovative to push in variable markets is what business and Competition is, with that comes better products like how PS4 wouldn’t be as awesome as it could be as a CONSUMER point of view if Sony never had Xbox 360 as competition. Sony would remain the arrogant company that it was during the beginning of the current-gen.
Sony had a patent Long, long before the Wiimote for the PS-Move, PS-Move was designed originally for PS2 and the Eyetoy, long before Wii or Wii’s remote were shown if your allegations of ‘Copying’ involved that. Sony pushed ‘Move’ on PS3 instead of PS2 because the prototype of Move just never went anywhere due to limited technology. The Wii had likely been a source of inspiration to bring the project back to life and to retry though. Which again, to those who have Reason and Rational thoughts, to not be copying. The only thing I’d say Sony technically ever copied this generation? Is Microsoft pushing a standardization of Achievements w/ Sony making Trophies. Adding an RPG-element to anything generally makes it better and ‘Achievements’ was almost like a necessity in the value of gaming as well as a curse. Everything else in terms of ‘Teh Sony Copies everything’ usually is just emotionally flawed, ignorant and groundless.

Anyway I really hate the DS2. Fucking shitty ass deadzones on the crap analogs make me want to vomit. The GameCube’s analog input is so much of a bliss that it’s hard to play anything else after that, the slight movement of my finger will cause a reaction in game and that’s fascinating. Plus I dislike the DS2 design.

We could go down and down a rabbit hole of controller-design and then be like “Well, NES’ controller copied gamepads found on Atari or Commodore 64…Xbox copied Dreamcast and other companies predecessors. Over and over and this would solve nothing. What really matters by controller perspective is HOW WELL IT’S MADE….and what features it has that are vital or potentially innovative. Like, Dualshock 4 shows some promise but it’s more or less the same thing slapped with some PS Vita-like features and a Move Controller.
The only controller that TRULY is different? Is the new Steam/Valve controller, as it doesn’t even have analog sticks yet it’s left good impressions on people.
Dualshock 2/3….just was ‘Fine’ to me, I don’t complain about controllers. They have buttons, they work, it’s generally a quality build, it does what it’s supposed to, though DS3’s shoulder buttons were build off due to it not being concave in the correct manner. I can’t wait to test Dualshock 4’s controller though. I couldn’t really get into Gamecubes’ controller as you seem to have. The controller is like a fucked up rainbow-vomit piece of art-reject from Nintendo designers who were on Shrooms, threw up on a canvas then slapped their dicks in a bucket of paint and thrusted against the canvas – the conclusion of their shroom-orgy was the Gamecube controller. But again, I simply ‘dealt with it’ as I did any other controller.
The worst controller I’d ever have to say is the ORIGINAL Xbox Controller, as it was gigantic from what people find the Now-iconic Xbox controller, it used to be a fucking bear-sized controller where even I at 25 had trouble reaching the buttons properly. My family called it the Shoebox controller. 2nd worst – Wii-mote in leagues with Nes for Non-ergonomic value of a fucking Blocky rectangle, the difference was NES used a rectangle, Wii uesd a Rectangular Prism.

PS4 is for certain third party games that aren’t on Wiiu, Certain PS exclusives. Games like Metal gear 5 n stuff you know.
I’m getting Watchdogs and ACIV on Wiiu though. I’ll take off tv play over a marginal boost in graphics anyday. PS4 versions are only 30FPS like Wiiu version also.

Well, I’d honestly ‘Partially’ disagree with that. As SSB wasn’t the first of its kind for starters, secondly…..it was based a lot on fan-feedback and the obvious nature that it’s a game built for Fan-service. Of all the IP’s that Sony owns, for Sony to have made a ‘Fighting-Game’ that matches iconic characters that Sony owns or uses a lot against eachother has been asked for since PS2’s days, or a dream for many, or an idea that many would’ve thought about from time to time.
With that in mind? I don’t consider it a Copy, but just something that sorta ‘needed to happen’ whether it succeeded or failed. Microsoft could do the same and I’d not consider it copying, the issue there is simply they don’t have the character diversity or quantity and quality that Nintendo and Sony has XD

Ehn, you aren’t ranting. Unlike all my other posts and my own points I’m trying to argue.
I wouldn’t think someone is a ‘Fanboy’ simply for defending, it’s about how zealously they do it or, how emotional they are about it. I tend to defend Sony, only because I feel I know better due to keeping up with the history and industry and seeing the changes or controversies and seeing all the sides and their general-input or immaturity or groundless beliefs in frantic opposition.
I just feel Sony has earned and gained the most trust as per the PS4’s launch. So they earned my respect in that manner, so I defend what I can logically, calmly, rationally, when someone decides to spout nonsense. Mostly because I can’t stand unjust people or idiots. Sony became arrogant with power due to PS1 and PS2’s success, I don’t even deny that and put emphasis on that being an issue. The point I put on why I ‘lean’ to Sony unlike other consoles outside of Game-preferences. Is that Sony got power hungry, fell on their ass, then LEARNED from it. Nintendo….got power hungry from Wii’s success and I feel they lost what made them loved, they lost their roots and are in their transition of either forever failing or to find their roots again. Just as Blizzard became power hungry from Starcraft and Diablo 2’s success and became pompous to the fanbase during Diablo 3’s development.
Microsoft seemed, in all of this exampling. It almost feels as if the original staff behind Xbox knew what path to take and perhaps Accidentally stumbled across a good median for a demographic to manipulate or persuade. The problem was that most of it wasn’t intentional, and as such they don’t know how to replicate that success which is why Xbox One is such a flaming disaster. Microsoft does NOT know how to communicate with consumer-interest and likely don’t believe it. They know how to reverse things and to go backwards when things go down the shitter as a means of maintenance rather than consumer-appreciation. Just as in opposition, Sony had PSN hacked and showed how vulnerable their systems were, Sony didn’t go BACKWARDS, they reinforced their flaws, improved, then gifted their consumers with a bunch of free games for a long while as an apology. I feel I have a good grasp at how Sony does business in some departments, both business and in other ways. Nintendo hasn’t really pampered my ass since N64 or Gamecube so I’d really have to ask why they deserve anyones loyalty or my own.
To my recollection, they aren’t helping the staff behind Eternal Darkness…..they didn’t help the true fans out there who simply wanted Mother 3 to be ported to US. They didn’t even port Mother 1+2. They don’t listen to fans and essentially are doing only what they know what to do, pump their IP’s out without any software-innovation, but gimmick-innovation, hardware gimmicks. Every company has gimmicks, but Nintendo keeps telling us their gimmicks are the future. Sony says their path starts the future, Microsoft says their future is your future. All are full of shit but I find Microsoft and Nintendos message most annoying.
Nintendo gave 20 free games to the 3DS owners before the price drop which means something, the gamepad is a gimmick but it is very helpful and has the same sorts of controls as the other consoles. We all have different opinions though so we should not really be arguing this much, we all have preferences and like and hate a company but we should have more civilised conversations and argument like we just had. Let me tell you, it has been a long time since I actually spoke with someone on the internet this sensible and knowledgeable as you are.
I will remind you that immature demographic are in all fanbases and most kids on Playstation and Xbox are the same. We just don’t go and attack other fanbases.

My emphasis is in the fact that the ‘Fanbases’ all have their own stereotypes AND, unarguably, the demographic per each fanbase can be represented by an age-difference statistically.
Sony has a maturer/older demographic – Whilst there will be extremists or people who ARE Older but simply aren’t mature of course can and do exist. It still is grounded that Sony has a more ’20-40′ agegroup.
Microsoft has the 10-20 agegroup majority which is concrete based on the amount of screaming, ignorant, bratty children that live in North America in games like COD and/or Halo which reinforces the stereotype of the bad parenting issue in the gaming industry, where most of them lean to Xbox.
Nintendos’ fanbase, by MY perspective are a Mixture of Both, immature/old. Mostly because many of the fans, or as myself could be used as an example, we grew up on Nintendo, or grew up on Atari and went with Nintendo during the NES/SNES/N64+ era. The difference completely remains the same except for the situation of those who remained to be leaned-for-Nintendo as a fan and clung to nostalgia due to those childhood memories, and those who moved on, or simply those who just have more preference for Nintendos’ IP’s and don’t have any likeness to other series found on other consoles and that it literally just stays like that. I say Nintendo is a mix in that way because as Nintendos fanbase creepily remain solid on the demographic of Casuals and teens or young-adults who cling to Childhood-nostalgia? That would make it common in a psychological understand that the fanbase does Not Grow Up, thus can Act out in a more childish, emotional, and defensive manner. Nintendos fanbase are unique in which it’s a really shitty thing, and it’s a very loyal fanbase, with that comes more Cons than Pros. That of which is that the Nintendo fanbase NEVER BUYS NON-NINTENDO GAMES!…. which causes enough problems for Nintendos, comically….
The conclusion is of course that, each fanbase are all miserably the same sheep and cattle. I just understand that each fanbase has a quirk or varying ratio of proned-immaturity and predicted-reasoning behind the Acting-Out patterns. Sony fanbase are cocky, ego-stroked types who’re proud. Microsoft fanbase are obnoxious, tactless little shits with insecurities and lack understanding of reality or proper investments so they have to act more Troll-like to compensate for their delinquency and Nintendos fanbase are the basement-dwelling-misunderstood-anti-social variety who’re easy to upset because their dreams will constantly be attacked or berated by the Other two fanbases or by trolls just like Furries are an easy topic to puncture emotions of.
Nintendo has Kid-minded fans, Microsoft has Kid-fans and Sony has, to me, Mature-but-sometimes-extremists in which those extremes can make specific fans to sound petty, immature, arrogant and mentally irresponsible.
That’s ‘My’ POV of the whole fanbase-stereotypes. All fanboys suck, but that’s how I see em, all of them have Pros/Cons though, it’s not simply ‘Black or White’.
It is obvious to me that you love Sony but that should not mean you should put down another company, Nintendo changes the gameplay quite drastically in each game (except for New super mario bros). This community on this site is quite awful and it is immature but that is not the main representations of all sites or the majority of fans. Sony is your favourite obviously but like you said, these fanboys are your stereotype from what you have seen, quite a lot communities are quite mature just like you are portraying the Sony communities (which I agree with to a degree).

Sony’s worst PR stupidity was mostly during the beginning of the current-gen cycle. Everything else has been pretty smooth and logical.

Sony and Nintendo fans can get on the same page(we all was laughing when Sony stabbed Microsoft at E3 right?) But never will Microsoft fans get along with anyone. What if this guy said he had two 360s. Those fans will be in a bigger war.
