      1. Same, it’s fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m about to fight first gym leader and I can tell it’s already my GOTY. GTAV just got owned by 1 hours worth of fighting level 2 Weedles….

      1. Why do you feel the need to go on a site just to diss something? I don’t understand why you would even comment on something you hate

      2. Please Change your Avatar Name. Jesus would not Criticize greatness and humbleness that is Nintendo. He would correct their lack of marketing skills at Nintendo of America though.

      1. Even if it on the very most low end of sales, it would have to be at least 685 or 686, that is if you assume they only sold one console the whole month previous.

  1. LOL from like 5 units to that rise is still bad.

But all good news I guess Shopto have had some amazing deals in the past few days!

            1. after that rush of games Nintendo is going to give us “brand new not old super Mario bros” now with 3 new levels!!!! Only for a price of $60 bucks. All the sheep will run to it

              1. I highly doubt they are going to do another New Super Mario Brothers anytime soon if that’s what you’re implying. Nintendo stated that they are not overusing Mario, but the fact they said that makes it obvious they are aware that the fans feel they are, and so they probably said they weren’t overusing him to cover themselves, meanwhile planning for something new. And if they did release one so soon, it would bomb hard, trust me. They can KIND of get away with what they did, they were slick, but they threw in New Super Mario Brothers 2 on the 3DS, then New Mario U for Wii U, DIFFERENT SYSTEMS (is what their excuse is) and now Super Luigi, which is different cause its starring Luigi and has harder boards and shorter time limit and no Mario. So technically they can be given a pass, although not a good one. They try that hand again, and I assure you it will bomb. That or I’ll bomb all the copies lol.

        1. X, Bayonetta 2, DKTF, Miyamoto’s brand new ip, hopefully a new metroid game announced in development soon after DK release by retro, hopefully a new starfox game announced by Platinum… just to name a few

        2. After that comes X 2014, Bayonetta 2 2014. & After that they will be announcing several unannounced games, such as Shigeru’s new franchse, Next Level’s top secret game, Gamefreaks ‘unprecedented’ pokemon game, and still further announcing even more games we have heard absolutely no mention of, including new crossovers as Iwata said.

      1. Yeah, you might need to supply some context, because Nintendo already -is- a good company.

So, go on. Explain. Vent your rage.

      2. Listen Donkey Dick Lover, you’re trolling days are through. I’ll troll you so hard you’ll get horny you Donkey Dick loving asshole.

  2. It will be interesting to see numbers.
Also, WiiU needs sustained growth, not occasional spikes. If they can keep momentum through the holidays, that will help.

    1. These sorts of MASSIVE spikes will come with all the big games like 3D world DKTF, MK8 etc etc etc. But yeh it needs to stay higher….

But great news for Wiiu in UK.

    1. LOL this site should award the best 10 trolling post, this should be nominated for sure. Hahahahahaha so fucking funny.

  3. It has sold somewhere around 30 000 units a month in the UK lately, so this would mean it has sold an equivalent of more than 200 000 units a month. I.e. from bad to decent. And when it comes to the WiiU, decent makes me happy enough.

  4. I would assume that the sales for the WiiU went down the week before the Windwaker bundle was to be released, since people would rather wait for that, and then it went back up again. Does anyone have any correct numbers on the ordinary UK sales? I think I read somewhere around 500 to 1000 units a month once, but I’m not certain at all…?

      1. Actually a little more, the numbers you write is just the increase, not the total number. But I doubt the increase of 685% is from the 500-1000 units a month I wrote down from the top of my head – as I said I suspect the sales went down the week before. Let’s assume it sold an equivalent of 200 units a month, then it would be something like 1500 a month instead. For that particular week. But until we get numbers, this is nothing but speculations.

  5. This means it has potential for much greater sales! I believe the week sales of Wii U in UK raised from about 1.3K to about 9k based on VGCharts estimates.

    1. Thanks for the idea to look at VGChartz. If the increase is actually from those 1.3K a week, then it’s actually not that far behind the sales of the ancient PS3 and Xbox360…

  6. That means the main people that bought this were fanboys that already owned a Wii U lol. This game didn’t move consoles as I predicted it wouldn’t just like W101 and pikmin 3

      1. Some people on this site. Some said the game deserves a 9 or 10 and that it would move consoles but they’re just dumb fanboys in denial that don’t use logic. W101 WWHD and PM3 weren’t going to move consoles as I predicted

    1. You thought you were slick but you thought wrong. If you read the title it says Wii U sales up 685%, which means systems sold. As in new Wii U customers, not current. And who are you to assume every Wii U owner is a fanboy? You sound like a fanboy yourself.

  8. Nintendo have to advertise their console even without games, that is where they’re falling down.

I am surprised that they’ve not picked up on this. Without marketing, people will not know what the console is. No marketing = no people looking at it = low sales. It really isn’t that hard.

  9. Not surprised. Something many people don’t realize is that Zelda (especially console ones) are way more popular in the West than Japan.

  10. Well that percentage SOUNDS good, but is it really? I certainly hope so! At least it sounds good, we have that at least; some relatively positive sounding information for a change.

  12. SSOOO….. 685 WII U’S SOLD IN THE UK. GREAT MOTHA FUCKING JOB GUYS!! YES!!
    http://youtu.be/csBaUsAySSQ?t=8s

” time to celebrate!! our time is now guys, the comeback we need and the turnaround for the WII U!!!!!” all the ninengeeks falling to there knees and crying with there little baby fist tight and might, with tears of baby joy. “lets dance guys and clap our hands to the music!!!” look at all the nintengeeks dancing around with there mommies laughing and taping with there diapers and tampons locked and loaded.

    1. You’re such a stupid little fuck. All you do is bitch and complain about everything Nintendo, good or bad. You think anyone gives a shit what you say? You have a middle school/high school mentality and a need to be heard, and a need for attention. You’re never clever or witty, and just bash anything about Nintendo. You’re troll attempts are weak, stale, and quite expected. It’s fucking pathetic that you literally spend EVERY day of your life complaining online to people you don’t even know about a system you don’t like. Why don’t you troll Nintendo’s facebook page or call them up on their number and complain. When you grow a little older and your balls drop, you’re not gonna care about this stuff anymore so much (I hope) and maybe you’ll even get laid. Try smoking some pot and chilling out. You have all this Nintendo hate and it’s old. Move on dude. You’re pathetic and the few people here who may find you funny every now and then aren’t your real friends. Go out and make some. You’re wasting your life. Drop acid.

  13. Why is it journalist can give an exact number on Wii U sales when in the red. Yet when it cones to an unexpected increase not only does it take longer but they give us a percentage which could mean nothing without at least one factual number.

      1. actually, i’d say the most important fact is the fact that it shows a good promise for the christmas season. Imagine if the units just kept spiking like that more and more with every new first party game

    1. Go back to school. The Wii U didn’t sell 5,000 units the week before. If lucky it sold 1,000. I’d like to see good sales to but don’t be making up lies because when the figures come out you’ll fall flat on your face and you’re giving ammo to the trolls.

  14. 3DS is doing so great, it gave Nintendo the gratitude and time to make the WiiU marvelous for the 2013 holiday season. The 3DS is on Auto get money control now, Bravely default for the sequel releasing for Europe soon, Pokemon tonight. All Nintendo needs is to release Monster Hunter 4 in February here and the 3DS will be great for the whole of 2014.

    1. They can’t stay on auto… that’s exactly how your sales stay flat. They need to dive into every major series that they’ve been sleeping on from the Game Boy and bring it.

    1. Yes, it was necessary hole though. It taught Nintendo who their friends and true Allies are. Also it humbles Nintendo and makes them produce great Xenoblade, fire Emblem awakening quality games.

  15. It’s a start. I’m sure Super Mario 3D World will help as well. Ultimately though the fate of the Wii U really depends on next year. Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros. Will they be enough to sell the console?

  16. What, a game sells a console? Never…

Honestly we all know the WiiU isn’t going to sell 80-90, heck doubtfully even 50 million….but who do we actually think makes up the 80-90 million 360 sales? The ps3 sales? Most of it? Not even “gamers”, just casual gamers who buy the one or two things, maybe

    1. If the WiiU has a 3DS resurgence, then 90 million is possible. Remember 1 1/2 years ago the 3DS was termed doomed. today it is the Champion of this eight generation, and steadily marching to that 100 million consoles sold mark.

      1. No it’s not, get over yourself.

But that’s not even a bad thing. As long as the software sales ratio is high then that’s all that matters. 10% of 360 owners actually buy Halo, and it’s their biggest franchise.

Frankly id like the number of WiiU sold to stay smaller, because it means the audience isn’t as dumb amd wide, and they can stop saying “oh we need to target the casual audience”

  17. Funny how more journalist posted about how WWHD did in Japan yet only one article will say how well it did in UK. If WWHD sells well in N. America, it’ll take 2 weeks for that info compared to barely a week if the game flopped. After all, it didn’t take long to find out W101 flopped in America did it?

    1. Damn so W101 flopped here too? I missed that article, was hoping it did better than UK and Japan. It’s such a good game, and such a damn shame.
