    2. In this case, yes. You´ll need at least a Wiimote to play Wii Party U. That´s why it won´t be offered on Eshop. People that don´t have a spare Wiimote may feel frustrated after downloading it.

      1. “People don’t have a spare Wiimote”.

Then how are they playing Wii U games? Most Wii U games require a Wii Remote to play. Nintendo Land requires Wiimotes for multiplayer, and so does NSMBU. Even Wii Sports HD needs Wii Remotes to play and that’s a “download-only” title.

        LMAO Nintendo!

      1. They’re giving you 80 garbage phone mini games that don’t even play in HD or online, an outdated $25 controller and a cheap plastic stand for $50. How exactly are they losing money?

      1. Knowing Dumbtendo they would add online to Wii Party U but not Mario Party for Wii U. You know Nintendo is stupid like that. After all Mario 3D World a much bigger franchise than Mini lacks online. That’s dumbtendo for you.

        1. I loved Mario Party 5. I don’t know, I don’t feel neither of those need it. Particularly this one as it is a party game and it is meant to be played with people in the same room. Meanwhile, mario 3d world does have some kind of online that allows you to play against the ghosts of other people.. I know it would be cool but it isn’t necessary.

        2. uhhh it doesn’t…Also I don’t understand the point of having online with mario party? Its best around friends, it would be shit online. Its like playing luigi mansion online its not very fun, unless you have people helping you. Mario 3D world…Its split. I’m sure it would be fun online but I think competition between friends will be better. Games i require for online Racing, fighting, shooters(depending if they have multiplayer), Sports, and death match style(like god of war’s). I’m alright with the game not having online but understand where most people are coming from

          1. Me too. With the ghost thing that was featured in the latest trailer suffices. It is shaping up to be an amazing game. I already preordered it with wind waker and assassins screed IV (I only played the second one and I liked it, I’m actually buying it because of the pirate theme which I love)

          2. Lol what ? Online play for Mario party would be great for the game. Not everyone can meet up at a house and play together in one room. Some friends live far or can’t go out etc and that’s when online would be great but fanboy logic with Nintendo logic = no online games for Wii U

            1. Please read carefully what I am saying. This mario game won’t NEED it. It already have the ghost thing that is actually pretty similar. It would be AWESOME but it doesn’t need it. Just watch the video you’ll understand. Besides what gaming lord is trying to say Is true, online is better on other type of games not in wii party u and to a lesser extent 3D World

                1. And no. I LOVE NINTENDO but I don’t like many of the things that have done. I think they should try to pressure third party studios to AT LEAST include online. I think that, with their massive amount of money, should buy SEGA, Capcom and other studios that are in the verge of bankruptcy. They should strike publishing deals like they did with Bayo2 and like Microsoft did with splinter cell conviction. And I STROMGLY believe they should give other studios the keys to franchises they don’t work on like f-zero, star fox, even metroid. Or give zelda to, say retro studios, to have more internal resources to create many new IPs

              1. Thanks 83. You want the perfect mario party example watch the therunawayguys they are the definition of mario party

              2. It doesn’t NEED multiplayer either but it has it. All im saying online co-op would make it more appealing to consumers like myself and alot of people I know that wish it had online.

              3. Playing ghosts isn’t as fun as playing with faraway friends or random people online in real time. A good example of this would be Mario Kart: even if ghost were fully visible, it’d be the same feeling as playing against the CPU.

  1. I hope dumbtendo don’t put Miis as playable characters in SSBU. What am I’m saying. Dumbtendo would do some shit like that.

              1. I think that just by changing his swordplay he could be a whole different character. Judging by the pictures samurai has posted, link has a different swordplay. He has bombs and arrows (which I think they should give us the option to change between fire and ice) making only one special attack open. It may be the hammer (it would be REALLY cool) but I think it will be the leaf and it will have similar ability to the gale boomerang and to Mario’s yellow cape.

  2. Of course this PoS isn’t going on the e-shop. What idiot in all their fully functioning senses would buy this non-HD, no online capacity, 80 garbage phone mini games for $50? Granted some morons actually have their anus wide open for that Nintendo dick.

    1. Dude, chill out. Remember Nintendo caters to every audience. If you don’t like it, then don’t buy it. But I’m pretty sure there is people (mainly younger ones, or non gaming dads) that buy these games and actually enjoy them with their families and friends (I’m sure it would be really fun actually). I agree that it is too expensive but there is people who aren’t interested in shooters and stuff like that.

  3. Damn I was hoping to get this digitally, preferrably a lil cheaper. Seems like a good game to have on the console for quick usage.

  4. But today i got an email from Nintendo advertising this game and it sais that a “Also avalable as a digital download from Nintendo EShop” so this doesnt make sence. Tho i am from australia so that might be why?
