A new system update is available for the Wii U and adds improvements to the system stability as well as adding some other minor adjustments. What about games. I find it funny that if I look at my friends list, that over 50% of the time people are online but not playing games. They are on the internet, netflix and such. nothing like spending $300+ to get netflix streaming or a web browsers. Basically games are lacking and boring so more people surfing than playing. I’m different, i get a game console to play games. I get a DVD plyer to play DVDs. a computer to do the rest. I don’t get a console to watch movies, surf the net.

Nintendo will still earn more revenues elsewhere.

I think this is quite hard to achieve…..the Gamepad has a completely different configuration, it wouldn´t work with wii games the way it is right now. But if we could play Wii games without having to switch to the Wii menu that would be just as great.

I don’t think showing off that zelda demo would be smart since they confirmed its not going to be direction of the next zelda. KZ advertisement was awful in my opinion they showed Zero gameplay just expensive commercial. The Rayman Legend trailer didn’t suck which got me to buy the Game because the trailer showed the GamePad’s functions. Show that same trailer on TV and it would have sold way more. Why not advertise the 2nd 3D Mario World trailer on TV than that kiddy commercial?

– Be able to play Blue Ray/DVD’s
– Like posting screenshots on Miiverse, we should have it where you can record a video of your gameplay and upload it on Miiverse, Twitter, Facebook, etc.!
– In game notification (Similar style they did with 360 where it tells you who just signed in or logged off, while your playing.)

The Wii U doesn’t plays DVD or Blu-Ray disc. Unless if you have a second DVD or Blu-Ray player at home. It only plays games.. not movies– except it streams movies from Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu Plus.
DVD playback was unlocked on the original Wii and could easily be achieved on the Wii U.

Show Lego City Under Cover GamePad’s functions. Show off Wii Party U functions. Wii U gamepad on the floor while 4 players with Wiimote have to reach down with Wiimote and walk slowly. Show something that makes Wii U stand out from the competition. Also show off Mario Party 8 graphics letting people know its coming soon on the ESPN channel. The differance between Wii and Wii U is not hard.
When Super smash arrives they need to display what you can do now that you can’t do on Brawl. Show off Miiverse on TV, the art from the gamers on Miiverse which you can’t do on Vita. Show off Ray man Legend’s exclusive features. Show off a part of Nintendo Direct on TV. Show in TV the Pro controller and how you can use it. Show off the GamePad’s mic. Nintendo could sell this thing if they brought up Wii UK’s true capabilities on TV.

What in the December update could make the Wii U more enjoyable?
~ A playable version of the 2011 Zelda HD demo (this should have been available at launch)
~ A special Nintendo Direct that shows Wii U games in development such as Wave Race, F-Zero, Metroid, Starfox, a FPS, an action adventure game, Pokemon and the new Zelda.
~ An announcement that since EA and 2K Sports will not bring their franchises to the Wii U that Nintendo will just start making their own sports games like they did with the NES.
There isn’t much they can do physically that will change anything. Just a news bundle with the aformentioned items would be enough for me.

Cross Chat, Optional notifications (at least give the choice!) of people coming online or trying to call you, Oh and Nintendo Tvii in the UK please along with an overall improved service to Nintendo TVii, an auto connect to different Wifi networks, I’m constantly going from my place to my GFs with the Wii U and I’m having to go into the settings every time to set the Wifi, whereas my 3DS automatically connects! I want a sleep option for games – my 3DS has a sleep mode during gameplay to resume where I left, why can’t the Wii U?! More streamlining of the OS, I don’t mind the speed at which the OS works, but it’d be nice to lighten everything further, so if a second gamepad is introduced my GF can watch Netflix on one and I can continue playing on another. I’m sure with enough investment into the OS, its RAM usage and how services are processed this could be possible. Ummm those are my only gripes
Oh and I’d love for the ability to use an SD card for games, and play music etc

The sad truth is that Nintendo has conceded the core audience to sony and microsoft after the GameCube and with the inception of the wii. They haven’t got a chance in hell in persuading a ps3/360 person to upgrade to solely a Wii u. I feel like it should be possible to play certain Wii Virtual Console games, like Majora’s Mask, on the WiiU. I always used to play with my Gamecube Controller, but now that they’ve dropped that, I’m forced to buy a classic controller, while the Gamepad could have it’s own configuration.
I mean, the Classic Controller required an update as well right? that means that they can program new controllers through a download. it shouldn’t be the hardest thing, you could probably go as far as making the wii recognize the gamepad as a gamecube controller and remap the ‘gamecube’ button layout. I would really love to play games like Paper Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time on my Tv again.
All you need is a software called DVD-Midi Karaoke Ripper to make a copy of your disc. If you want to play the disc itself on your computer, try to search some programs like DVD-Midi Player. hope this help.
