Hideki Kamiya, director of the original Bayonetta, wants the game to be released on the Wii U. When asked about it, he said that while they really want to release the game for the platform, ultimately the decision is up to Nintendo. Platinum Games is currently developing Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U and no release date has been announced. As a Wii U owner, would you like to see the original Bayonetta released on the system as a lead up to Bayonetta 2’s launch?

It can’t have any DLC though, or anything online, that seems to be the rule with Wii U ports.

Let’s hope that Nintendo (publisher of Bayonetta 2) and SEGA (trademark owner of the Bayonetta franchise) give it a thumbs up and deliver the original to the U.
Nintendo and Sega should definitely release Bayonetta on the Wii U. Preferably early next year. It’d be a great game to tide us over until the release on Bayonetta 2, and it would give people who have never played the original the chance to play it and become immersed in the Bayo universe. All of which would make people more hyped and excited for the sequel AND bring another great game to the Wii U’s current somewhat lackluster library of games.

This would make a lot of sense.
Why? When B2 releases next year or so, Wii U Nintendo fans now have a reason to buy the second one and knowing what to expect. I for one would love this!
