This week’s UK chart positions are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. Last week Super Mario 3D World climbed into the all-formats charts at 14, now after a further week of sales it’s clutching to 20th position in all-formats, but lands at a disappointing 30th in the individual. And Bravely Default for Nintendo 3DS, which released in the UK last week, fails to even chart in the top 40.
There’s no change at the top of the leader board either, with Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4 all sitting comfortably in the same positions as last week. Due to flash sales and the Christmas mad dash, Just Dance 2014 has worked its way back up the chart and places in 7th in the all-formats. However, the Wii version is cooking up a storm with consumers and climbs from 13th to 6th position in the individual.
Nintendo 3DS games are still keeping up with the flood of next-gen console games. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds places at 19, with Pokemon X, Y, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf all falling into step with each other in positions 23, 24, and 25, respectively. As for Bravely Default, it’s niche, but it’s really fucking good, probably the 4th best 3DS game behind Link Between Worlds, Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus (i probably missed one though)

Resident Evil is good, but it’s kinda awkward on 3DS, liked it better on the WiiU. We don’t have SMT4 in the UK yet -.- (ATLUS!!!)

When it comes to fanboys that use BAD logic thats how i reply to the situation, and again i dont like the top 10 list but everyone is entitled to enjoy and like WHATEVER game they want. It doesn’t mean they have BAD taste but i dont deny that 3D world is a good game but it just wasn’t going to be the savior for the Wii U. Nothing screamed unique about it, it was just a enhanced 3D land and honestly Nintendo blew there chance and unless a huge 2014 direct comes that shows off the titles there working on and its games like star fox, metroid, Zelda U, more smash news, X etc then the Wii U is doomed. They already lost one potential customer (me) and alot of other people i know but let’s wait and see
Personaly rather have a star trilogy then more metroid. Metroid is great but but I feel like it needs a break so ideas can float for it over time. Star Fox needs a come back I’m sure there are great stories that await.

Just so everyone here knows, the game had been out a day when this chart was compiled. Game was released on the 6th and the chart, the 7th. Anything outside of the established franchises would struggle to chart after a single day. Just keep that in mind when going on your xenophobic rants.
