Renault Set To Feature Six Models In Project Cars

Slightly Mad Studios, the makers behind the highly anticipated Project Cars, has announced that French manufacturer Renault will feature within the game. There are six cars set to whisk away players’ delight, including the new 265hp 2014 Mégane RS model.

Renault joins previously announced car manufacturers such as McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the racing title. Earlier this year, the developer scrapped the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions in favour of next-gen consoles. Project Cars will release Fall 2014 on Wii U, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam OS and PC. Here’s the list of featured Renault cars:

  • 2014 Mégane RS
  • 2013 Clio IV RS Cup
  • 2013 Alpine A450
  • 1999 Laguna BTCC
  • 2009 Mégane Trophy II
  • 1978 Alpine A442B

    1. If you hate Wii U, then get out.

Like it or not, Wii U is here to stay for the next few years. If you can’t accept that, then you have no business being here.

            1. Sickr, please ban this troll. He’s only here to bash Nintendo and anyone who tries to defend it.

              He has no place here.

            1. When I think about it, it is so stupid that i think it’s a fake troll, I mean this bot MUST KNOW HALO IS JUST ANOTHER RIPP OF METROID BY micro$oft

        1. Um you must be stupid, Metroid is not a ripoff of Halo because Metroid came out in 1986 while Halo came out in 2001. If anything Halo copied Goldeneye on the N64 because the creator said he wanted to make a multiplayer game similar to Goldeneye.

    2. What a twat! Serious “Wii U MAD” fuck off.

This is a site to spread Nintendo news. If you’re gonna start bad mouthing then you need to sort your life out!.

  4. If I knew a single thing about cars, I might be excited. Project Cars announcements are like a foreign language to me. I have no clue what a “Renault” or “McLauren” is, nor what the cars the listed look like.

  5. This game on the brighter side look amazing. Easily on par with Forza 5. If that image is representing the games graphics, then that’s incredible. I really cannot wait for 2014 and Wii U’s incredible stuff!

    1. That image is representative of the game’s graphics… on PC. I’ve been playing the early-access builds of Project CARS for something like a year now, and the game does in fact look like that, but only on a powerful PC. Honestly, I was surprised when SMS didn’t ditch the Wii U version when they canned the 360 and PS3 releases. The game is bound to look and drive in a vastly inferior manner to the PC version (or even the PS3/Xbone versions). Also, to my knowledge, there’s no racing wheel support for the Wii U, which kind of nullifies any reason to play this game. Project CARS is shaping up to be a fantastic game, but you should play it on the PC.

      1. The word “sim” is short for “simulation”, as in, an accurate depiction of the real world. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t think Mario Kart simulates any real world activity.
