Bravely Default series Producer Tomoya Asano and Akihiko Yoshida have revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu that the visuals in Bravely Second will be noticeably improved over its predecessor, which has already launched in Europe and Japan.
“Basically the [battle] system does not change but the graphics are better than in the previous game. It’s possible to fill a dense background with thicker lines and strike a balance between the two. In the previous game, we felt the resolution was too low when zooming in. But this time, the denser background and camera zoom in does not affect quality, and unlike the previous game I don’t feel that [Bravely Second] falls apart when the camera is closer.”
Whoa whoa whoa, what is this? A new game or re do of the original? I haven’t had a chance to even go buy the 1st game and they’re already churning out another one? Slow down Square Enix, there is such a thing called pacing yourselves.
It’s a new game but it’s ok. While the western release was only recently, Bravely Default came out in Japan ages ago.
No no, For the Sequel is a re done of the original game that came out two years ago.
I really hate how long it takes to localize a game from Japan to English speaking countries. Don’t they realize by now that we WANT their JRPGs? They should just start localisation to begin with instead of waiting so long…
Pull a Pokemon. Release the game all over the world on the same date.
pokemon took none on X/Y and 3 months on Black/White 2
the longest time i have seen is Bleach the Third Phantom for DS, they took almost 2 years
So if Pokemon can be localized soon enough, I can’t imagine why this game would take so long… well aside from the fact that they started localization so late. Why in the world would they think this game would not sell over here? It’s still a final fantasy game, they know it must be good, because they made it themselves.

The sequel will be here in a year, so there is plenty of Time to finish the first game.
