Nintendo has revealed that it wants to enrich the value of the Wii U GamePad through a variety of methods. The company plans to offer games that take full advantage of the 6.2-inch touch-screen controller. It also wants to make full use of the controller’s NFC function by preparing multiple schemes, including the implementation of NFC payments. Nintendo DS software, which will eventually be added to the Wii U Virtual Console lineup, will be playable on the Wii U GamePad.

So Nintendo saying they want to enrich the Gamepad yet, DKC displays nothing, is ironic. They should implement some microphone features, mostly just for online-game-chats….cuz that Mic is just a sitting duck. The game pads sound might get in the way so as long as you have headphones in, online-game-chats will activate.

If it doesn’t We will have to wait another decade for such a simple feature to be implemented. (Since Nin is so sensitive towards kids there should be some sort of mod, behavior card or report options)

Shouldn’t they have planned this BEFORE they launched the damn console? Fuck. Miyamoto’s design of the Wii was specifically made to cater to how he wanted games that he had planned to be made. I mean it’s pretty obvious the Wiimote was designed with Zelda in mind and it was a dream to play for Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, Punch Out!!, and NES style played games. Wii U was designed on a trend of people playing on tablets with no clear direction on how software would take advantage of this concept outside of off-TV play. This new tech engineers at Nintendo that designed the Wii U better have learned their lesson from this. It’s about the software first, then the technical specs.

The truth is like medicine….it may taste bad but it’s what you need to hear. This console has been the biggest let down since the virtual boy. And yes I’ve been a Nintendo fan since the first nes. The head damn near a one year jump start on the competition and they piddled it away. Launch titles a joke. Recycled nes and super nes games. I still have all of my consoles. Why am I being treated to Mario 3 for the umpteenth time? I think the fans are starting to figure out this 8bit tomfuckery. Good system… Lack of creativity.
I don’t think the console is the biggest let down since the Virtual Console. I don’t own as many games as I thought I would at this point, but I’m sure they’ll all pile on soon.
What about the Gamecube? Wasn’t that the poorest selling console of the 2000’s?

Ps4 and wii-u combo…looks like it for sure. I hate to do it but ps4 got some cool looking games coming out. I like my wii u but holy hell….c’mon where are the games! Reggie f-ed up big! Hes supposed to be brokering deals and enticing american studios to make games for the wii u….instead hes showing us his office and displaying his logged hours on “Animal crossing!” Meantime im here like…my Jimmies are still ready!
