The producer of the first season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy and Sleeping Dogs has revealed that he is producing a live action adaptation of the forthcoming Mighty No.9. Tim Carter, the writer and producer at Contradiction Films, says he is currently building the story right now. However, Carter didn’t make it clear whether it’s a Mighty No.9 web series or film.
“We are building the story right now,” Carter said about the project. “Inafune-san created [Mega Man], and he has now created Mighty Number 9. We don’t have the rights to Mega Man, obviously, but we are working with him on a live action adaptation of it.” He said of Inafune, “I was a little apprehensive about it at first until I got his notes, and thought “Dude, you should be working at Pixar!””
Holy crud that was fast
Cool!
Can’t wait for this game.
Hmm…I find this to be a little sketchy, but if this is true…it’ll be awesome! Mighty No 9 has potential to be a great franchise and he’s a character that you can really root for. I don’t see how a film of this guy could fail
Please don’t jinx it, haha
Roger that Commander Hopper. This seriously does have potential to be a great movie and I would definitely check it out. It would just be so ironic if it beat Mega Man to the punch! (Not counting….That Mega Man movie.) (Although it looked decent)
It does! I’m excited not only for the game but for the movie! Lets hope it’s something special. :D
Game looks pretty good to be honest.
I hope the game is good, thats all I care about
Well that was fast…
That quote sounds more like an adaption of Mega Man, not MN9

Woah! the game isn’t even released yet and they are working on a live adaptation? Mighty no. 9 is escalating to be a top franchise.
We hope
So that’s where the kickstarter money went.

LOL! WUT! Why so soon? What happens if the game is crap?
That quote says they’re making a live action adaptation of Mega Man, not Mighty No. 9. Read the sentence: “We don’t have the rights to Mega Man, obviously, but we are working with him on a live action adaptation of it.” The “it” at the end of the sentence refers to Mega Man at the beginning of the sentence. Unless he just misspoke, they are working with him on a live action adaptation of Mega Man.
Even though they don’t have the rights? He must have misspoke.

I think you should use Mighty Number 9 in anime instead of live action. It wont work in live action very well. The anime works the best but I will keep my mind open and judge it. Again, I doubt live action is a good idea.. Anime is the best one.
