        1. I’m sure they will eventually come to the 3DS and let’s hope that by then we can cross-play all games purchased on both systems with a real account system.

          1. I don’t think so. They’re just simple ROMs. If they could do it for Pokemon Black/White/2 then why couldn’t they do it for Red/Blue?

            1. Red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, and crystal had different stat calculators from later gens, so transferring them would make them weaker and incompatible. That’s why there was no trading between second and third gen.

  1. Instead of announcing GC virtual console games for Weak U they announced GBA games lol how pathetic

GBA was suppose to get a release on 3DS

    Rip Weak U

    Im back jerk offs

      1. Don’t be so mean! he took months to come up with this… genius pun. He really gave it his all, so don’t be so hard on him. You won’t be happy if someone shot down your life’s goal either would you? You can at least try to pretend he did a good job! And he just told his mom he made some friends cause of this pun too!

    1. Nintendo never said GBA games were “supposed” to be on 3DS VC… you’re making shit up!

Any way can you go away? We Nintendo fans like to talk about GOOD news. We don’t want Debby Downers around.

    2. I’m back?? LMAO!! Get out of here you fake scum. Are you really that desperate that you have to pretend to be someone else?

  2. Most of these came out for us Ambassadors, but these are still some great games. Now all we need is Emerald and the Wii U will sell like hotcakes.

    1. Yeah, but if you remember, most people aren’t 3DS Ambassadors.

Needless to say, I certainly am not one and I’m pissed that I picked the wrong console to buy at launch, because Eii U never got an ambassador’s program…. pissed me off at the time.

      Then I forgot about it…

Now, I’m pissed again, because people are talking about the ambassador’s program with these GBA games… :/

  3. Ya know… Nintendo should just release these Japanese GBA games on the Wii U’s VC so we can enjoy them sooner (looks like Japan is getting more GBA games than the West).

Then, after we have begun to enjoy them, Nintendo can release a bunch of patches for te Western games that provide a way to change the language to English if you so wish.

That way the west doesn’t have to WAIT!!!!… no more waiting games…

      1. Jajaja yes go and spend all your money for 30 fps games if that’s a next gen for u ok then if that broke reallity makes u happy its ok then go back to Ur bubble Aeolus ;)

  4. anybody besides me hoping for Advance Wars 1 and 2? I wanna try out advance wars, also i think we need a new 1 for Wii U and 3ds.

  6. You guys. YOU GUYS.

DON’T YOU SEE. THIS IS WHAT THE GAMEPAD WAS MEANT FOR. TO PLAY GBA GAMES. THE WII U IS SAVED.

    1. The sarcasm in you is strong.
Also, did you know that Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit? Yeah, so by being sarcastic your worse than a uneducated youth on the street :D

      1. The lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence. Nice of you to cherrypick your Oscar Wilde quotes there, and to try to associate wit with being uneducated. What’s even worse than these “youth on the street” is someone making a false correlation and using argumentative fallacies in your response to someone’s sardonic opinion on a video game console. Good jerrrrrb.

        1. If it’s “Intelligent” then why is it the lowest form of wit?
Really sarcasm is truly a plebeian thing to do to win in an argument or fake a statement.
So really its the easy way out of an argument, hence being a lowest form of intelligence as well.

In other words, trying to combat someone who called you out on a sarcastic comment by spewing false facts is just Plebeian of you.

          1. I never gave any false facts – I pointed out how he took a quote and shortened it out of context for his own purposes and then made an ad hominem attack against me.
But to answer your question – because sarcasm is intended usually to make fun of someone or something? That doesn’t mean that the manner in which it is used or how it is executed is not done well. Comprehending sarcasm actually consists of many processes in the brain. Expressing sarcasm also involves many things, but I never stated that my sarcasm was anything but me typing in all-caps to make a silly statement or that my execution of it was anything but ridiculous.
Regardless, it’s subjective in terms of how you interpret it, much like how one can say that intelligence doesn’t necessary equate to wisdom, and subjective as well in regards to how “plebeian” it is, as you so like to put it. The fact that someone is calling me out for it speaks more against them than it does to me.

  7. Why can’t they do a line up like that for the SNES and NES, I’m impressed. Oh I know I’d be divorced before I looked up from the gamepad.
Why have they confirmed DS but not The 64 or GameCube I mean they had the 64 up and running on the Wii I would have expected that first.

    1. The N64 games might be difficult to make transfer onto the gamepad for off-TV play. They must be fluid with no lag what-so-ever. Wii U games can do it because they’re built around it.

  8. You’d know what would be awesome… if Boktia: The Sun is in Your Hands used the Camera on the Gamepad to detect the sun light :D That would be awesome or better yet… Boktia for Wii U :3

  9. About six of those games are from the ambassador program for 3DS so I kinda all ready have six of those games o-o

  11. Pirate? Those games are old. I spend around $500 a year on Nintendo products. Surely pirating an old GBA rom isn’t going to be the end if the world. Those games aren’t even available as 3DS VC in the first place.

  12. Oh my, does Nintendo actually remember Golden Sun? That series doesn’t get enough respect. Glad to see it getting released.

And tell Camelot to get off their lazy butts and make another while you’re at it, Nintendo!

  13. Will they announce pokemon Emerald or Leaf Green? I remember a while ago gamefreak said they had concerns about porting red or blue to the 3ds virtual console. I think what they should do is maybe build up on poke bank by making it to were you can have your own “profile” where you can store pokemon and access them from both the wii u virtual console or 3ds virtual console pokemon games. Also they don’t have to be straight up ports, they can add an upgraded trade system like GTS or wonder trade. I think this is a great line up of games but let’s be honest, we mostly had our Gameboys with us to play pokemon.

  14. Hopefully we get some of these games in North America. I really want to play Advance Wars 1+2, Golden Sun, Tales of Phantasia, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, and Wario Land Advance.

  15. Why aren’t there any Pokemon games?

Before you bring up the lack of trade I’d like to point out how many of you still have your link cable and no someone else to trade with?

    1. Gamefreak said something about only spinoffs being emulated on the Wii U as opposed to older gen main titles back in E3. I guess that they are pretty overprotective.

  16. Very good. I don’t need more then these 10 GBA games on 3DS, and the VC of Wii U fills up with old blockbusters. Fantastic!

Now there are only missing the VC games of Wii Shop Channel, like N64. And please – NO DS GAMES!!!
