Nintendo eShops Getting “Extended Maintenance” On Thursday

Nintendo has confirmed that both the Wii U eShop and the Nintendo 3DS eShop will be going through extended maintenance on Thursday. This has let some to believe that there will be a Nintendo Direct this week, though this is obviously unconfirmed. The eShop’s will be down Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1pm Pacific.

“During the extended maintenance, parts of the affected services may be intermittently unavailable.”

    1. I guess because they always release a punch of trailers and minigames immediatly after the directs which needs time to bring them to the eshop?

    2. I think it’s the first thing that comes to mind (for some people, I’m assuming) when you wonder, “Why would Nintendo need an extended maintainer?”

  1. Flipnote Studio 3d had a direct same date last year i really hope theres a flipnote direct or atleast a direct with new games c: pokemon X2 and Y2 or X Cx

  2. As much as I want a Nintendo Direct, I think it’s too early since the previous one, and they already gave us the run-down of games coming between now and May so I don’t think they’d have another so soon after the previous one
