Collin van Ginkel, the designer and one of the founders of Two Tribes, has told Nintendo Latino that the company has no intentions of making another Toki Tori game. Collin says that Toki Tori 2 didn’t perform as well as the company had hoped, so he says the development team will move on and tackle another genre.
“Well, since Toki Tori 2+ didn’t perform as well as we had hoped, we’ve decided that we are not going to be making a new Toki Tori game, ever. He’ll be back in some easter egg probably, but we are moving on and taking on other genres.”
No one cares and the game is shit anyway.
Agree lol
That’s too bad, it looked like a decent game, but it didn’t really need a sequel anyway
Reblogged this on Web Bloggers Silver Gamers 2.0+.
well ok whatever.
make something better maybe now………..
u cant just keep doing the same , small game all the time anyway.
Wiiu Sucks
You suck dicks.
“God damn I love Toki Tori!”
Said no one ever.
Too bad. It’s a cute game.
There’s too many platformed games. Make a TBS game, like Advance War series.
Aw man… Another game leaves the Wii U.
*Problems*
THIS IS SARCASM
And they said never in their wildest dreams that they would sell over 8000% more last year which they did and they still say it’s not enough…
Greed…
Still haven’t completed Toki Tori 2+. I was disappointed in Edge, but Rush was a good game!
Rush was a lot of fun but short(cheap also). Edge was when first released on cellphones quite good.
Rush was just more of my kind of game, compared to Edge. But both are good, and both was pretty cheep!
Yeah, move to new territory… How about this, a first-person shooter set in modern day Iraq, where USA and Russia are fighting for the control over a nuclear missile silo, and be sure to throw in some multiplayer with team deathmatch and capture the flag, that’s never been done before, right?
It’s clear that most people who have posted here haven’t played Toki Tori, either 1 or 2. Toki Tori 2 is a very, very well crafted game. It’s a gorgeous Metroidvania game with great visuals, great audio, and really simple enjoyable gameplay. It’s also tough as nails, which frankly I like a lot in this age of easy games. It was the best new indie game I played last year, and it’s a shame that it didn’t sell well.
It’s probably right they move on though, a game like Toki Tori 2 does not need a sequel.
I thought the first one was neat. A shame to see this go down.
I bought Toki Tori 2 and then got Toki Tori on offer for cheap. Haven’t actually got around to playing TT2 yet though. Still wading through the backlog of Wii and WiiU games to complete.
