Cult County from Renegade Kid is now a Kickstarter title. The game was originally announced to be coming to the Nintendo 3DS, but it appears as though it’s no longer coming to that platform. The all-new first-person survival horror game will be coming to Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Steam. The game has a $580,000 goal which has to be met within 29 days.
Cult County is an all-new first-person survival horror game that blends the episodic story-telling of The Walking Dead with the classic tension-filled exploration and action of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, presenting an opportunity for fans to help a veteran team produce a new experience that is fresh, exciting, and scary!

Yeah good luck with that I’m onto my third 360 and second PS3 but still have my original WiiU,Wii,GameCube,N64, SNES,NES and all in full working order. So once you get your first 360 start saving again cause you’ll have to buy another one or get it repaired
Never had a problem with my 360 or playstation3 (not that I ever used the thing) if you ever experience “red ring” I can tell you its from over heating problems 99% of the time its because of dust issues, I suggest you clean your home. Nintendo spends a lot more time the. Other companies working on ventilation and heating issues on their systems. The new Xbox took much more time (this time) to prevent heating issues. Haven’t heard any thing on the new ps4

Idk I think the Wii U needs something like this, but hay moon chronicles is still coming to 3DS. Unless their was a second circle pad I don’t really want a FPS on 3DS (I know their is a add on, but its bulky and not easy to carry around)

It’s good that they are bringing it to the Wii U but why scrap the 3DS version?
Because they’re using Unity to make the console/pc versions. The 3DS doesn’t currently support Unity development.
It would be too costly/time consume to reproduce all the games assets and reprogram the game from the ground up using their 3DS engine.

I’m quite concerned with that goal. It’s pretty high. Perhaps they should’ve focused on a smaller goal just for episode 1, rather than trying to fund the whole series of 5 episodes at once.

Sounds interesting, but I must disagree with them. ZombiU was the rebirth of the survival horror FPS genre, IMO. The lack of a forthcoming sequel is a crime. I’ve never been more worried about dying in a video game than I was while playing ZombiU. Making players permanently loses guns in a zombie game is just cruel, I loved it. I wish more games had elements like that included. Death isn’t even a problem in most games these days. You just respawn three minutes back or whatever.

Disagree, Zombie U wasnt the Rebirth of the Survival Horror genre, the Ribirth came forth with Resident Evil Revelations. Which released before Zombie U, plus Zombie U was a mess of a game.

Well that’s what businesses do. Renegade feels its more finanically beneficial to release for consoles since each (except the shitty Xbox One) sold considerably well and I know it may upset you that 3DS got scrapped for some unknown reason.
It may fare much better being cross platform and since Renegade Kid are indy, it can help increase awareness of the game substantially…

seriously … you can port resident evil from Playstation to DS … but you can’t port from 3DS to PS4 … that just don’t fly … that’s why resident evil for gamecube wasn’t a port. i guess it could have been, but the bigger the jump upwards, the more it makes sense to start over again. all the extures, models, motion, physics were made for a low-powered hand-held.
and so then why Vita? … would the Vita version be the same as the PS4 version? … nothing makes sense here.
PS4, Xbox One and PC make sense … it’s all the same code … but some of the other platforms don’t make sense at all … not even a little.
My birthday has been full of surprises, Zelda statue, and now this. I may get it on the Wii U. Sure it sucks the 3DS version got scrapped, but a least the Wii U getting some love.
Well, I don’t mind Renegade making a trade off of 3DS version for Wii U. I think they did this because not only Wii U needs more games like this but its home console hardware offers a lot more demanding potential to include more fundamentals. So this is a bitter sweet thing for us.
