Did we not already know this for quite a while?
We did, but I thought it was a good idea to remind those that have forgotten.
Thanks!
they would make huge sales if those clowns didn’t jack up the price of these decade old games. I can’t imagine anyone but super fans of those games wasting money on these free games. oh well.
I agree, they should cost a maximum of 1$…
because you cant afford anything more than a $1.

no one cares about your 50 year old tv show
Seriously? Do you know how much some of these cost if you try to get an original copy?
we’re not talking about original copy. we’re talking about virtual console. only a dedicated old schooler would go to lengths to obtained original console and cartridge. meanwhile anyone with half a brain can just play all those games from every electronic available today. they didn’t think this through. clowns.
Isn’t Super Mario Bros. 3 already out on 3DS? Is this the SNES remake? I have the NES version but liked the SNES graphics better.
I’m pretty sure it’s been released in Europe, but the folks here in North America are practically frothing at the mouth to get this. Also, I doubt they’ll release the 16 bit remake from Mario All-Stars, as awesome as it was, they didn’t put it on the Wii VC :(
Ahhh, you’re right, sorry! I completely blanked on the North American part, d’oh! It sucks that All-Stars was so expensive and you couldn’t get the games on VC. I’m still grumpy I missed SMB2 on special offer a couple of weeks ago. :(
8 bucks for old portables
No
golden sun runs from $89.00 to over $100 on Amazon. 7.99 is a great deal to me.
Its also free on pc -_- the fact is, these games are too expensive, and if nintendo want to bank on these games that can be easily emulated on smartphones they have to get there heads out of their asses.
Yeah, because I’m pretty sure that a company that wants to make money will want to make it, they can’t release free games on their system because It would not only clog up their shop again, but they would end up loosing money in the long run, and if your are that fucking entitled that you want a game that is about 90$ on ebay for free, you really need to rethink your priority’s. By the way, be a cheap ass mother fucker an emulate, I like to own a copy on VC because it fucking sucks emulated, whether its because of shitty touch controls or playing on a keyboard, It’s wrong and feels wrong. Also why is Nintendo suppose to care about a platform that they’re probably not familiar with.
8 bucks? Talk about overpriced
Any ideas when (or if) Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow will come to the Wii U VC?
Advance Wars, Metroid Fusion and motherfucking Golden Sun <3
Fantastic games you don't wanna pass on.
Ya, but those greedy fucks want 8$ for an ancient game!
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ KIRBY’S AIRRIDE 2 OR RIOT
It’s there a difference between the Yoshi Island on SNES and Game Boy Advance?
The difference is that the Advance version has a lower resolution, lamer effects. The game is almost the same in any other aspect.
8 bucks is not that bad for solid, good looking games. These games used to be 3X the price. I understand how some are put off by the price, but even indi games that look like these games today cost 15 to 20 bones. Hey, you either can afford them, or you can’t. Some of you should wait for the inevitable sale to come.
Why do you keep posting old news?
I’m hoping F-Zero: Maximum Velocity sells well on VC & Nintendo decides to make a new F-Zero for Wii U.
Ugh, it’s prolly a lost cause. The F stands for the frustration I feel because the chances are zero. But F-Zero U does NOT need to be “innovative” to be fun. Just add new tracks to GX, update the graphics, & if it’s too much to make a new Story Mode then cut it entirely. I need my arcade racers. Wave Race U would be awesome, & a lost cause, too.
It makes me a little sad to see how many people are upset over the price point. Yes, compared to buying mobile games it’s steep but these are quality games from a better age in gaming and the length and quality hold up very nicely to this day and trump most mobile games. Even then some mobile games will command a fairly high price because of it’s “production value”. I for one think this is a reasonable price. In order to afford a download of one of these timeless classics all you have to do is skip out on a coffee with a bagel in the morning or skip out on eating MacDonalds ONE TIME. 8 dollars can’t be all that much if you’re comparing the price of eating out with your buddies at a restaurant to something that was 40 dollars and provides a standard amout of entertainment. …. (But I still find it a little difficult to convince myself to get off the fence and purchase NES Remix 2 at 15 dollars lol).
