The folks over at GameXplain have posted some direct feed footage of them racing on Mario Kart 8’s brand new Cloudtop Cruise course in the Special Cup. Mario Kart 8 launches on May 30th on Wii U.

The levels look simply gorgeous, but aren’t they like waaaaay too short?
Each level has three laps, but GameXplain just shows one full lap. These are actually longer than a lot of the Mario Kart tracks.

meh, still not buying this game. the gravity adds nothing new, charater list is meh and lame and the battle stages are lazy,ports and copy and pasted from actual courses. is there any voice chat because 15sec voice chat doesnt count as real vocie chatting. what up with those lame water effects, it looks like an 2005-2006 xbox 360 graphics. the online multplayer is still the same as mario kart 7 and mario kart wii and theres no mission mode or achievements system. how can this game even be 4.9gb when xbox 360 games from even 2006 ever bigger than that. usually xbox one and ps4 games are at 30gb and higher. this game doesn’t even come close to next gen standards or even last gen startards.
the game looks it was ported from the wii, added machics from mario kart 7 and make it look hd. was there any effort in this game at all. even forza 3 is bigger than this game. it looks like theres barley any thing worth even calling “new” or “innovative” in my opinion. no need for me to even waste $60 on this game or any other game from nintendo.
