Bandai Namco has confirmed that One Piece Unlimited World: Red will be coming to North America on July 8th and in Europe on June 27th. The company also gave details regarding the Battle Coliseum Mode. Twenty characters will be available in the mode, including Fujitora, Ace D. Portgas, Boa Hancock, the Straw-Hat crew and more. The game is due for release on PlayStation 3, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and Wii U.

The game or the anime? Both are great it’s the only anime I try to make time to watch, are you going to get it?
I checked out the anime! I’m pretty deep into Fairytale at the moment, but I downloaded the first few episodes of one-piece. I liked the first, and if I like the 2nd and 3rd, I’ll just finish downloading the rest of the season.
The game looks like it could be good, just hard to say! Attach on Titan for 3DS got mixed reviews, but I’d buy it just because I loved the Manga (and anime that came out after)
Fun Fact: Eiichiro Oda (author/illustrator of One Piece) and Hiro Mashima (author/illustrator of Fairy Tail) went to the same art school.

Why do they make these games when they barely sell?
those games sell very well in Japan, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and USA. Why? cause those countries are fan of Manga/anime and Namco/Bandai know it this is also why they don’t make much effort for those games but the last dragon ball z on Wii u or naruto on PS3 (well Japanese version of naruto is good cause Europe or USA have the retarded voice).

That’s a pretty subjective question. One Piece’s expansive, creatively designed world, effortfully written story, and immense capacity for heart have netted me as a big fan, but I’ve met individuals who won’t see eye-to-eye with me on account of such things as the artstyle being “childish”, the total investment being just too huge (640+ anime episodes, counting filler, or 740+ manga chapters, and according to the author, as of about three arcs ago, the series is only roughly at it’s halfway point), and a preference for a more convoluted plot with a darker tone.
A lot of One Piece fans would kill me for what I’m about to say (citing the Water Seven and Paramount War sagas as examples of the series getting way better the longer it goes on, and indeed it DOES get better later on), but I say give it your attention until episode 45 of the anime, or chapter 100 of the manga, the length of the first saga of One Piece, in which the core identity of One Piece is established. If you get through that, and decide you don’t like it, fuck it, don’t go any further, y̶o̶u̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶l̶ :̶P̶ it’s not for you, and I don’t think you’d like the rest either.
Oh drat, I forgot! Whatever you do, avoid the 4KIDStv english transliteration of the anime at all costs. I’m not going to go into why you should avoid it here, as what 4KIDS does to anime and did to One Piece is pretty well-documented elsewhere, but avoid their dub. It does not represent One Piece. That’s not an opinion, but an objective fact. As for what format you should watch it in, Funimation’s english dub is a somewhat controversial topic. You may or may not like it, and when you’re already looking to find out whether or not you like something, you probably shouldn’t inject a confounding variable like that. I myself find their dub, at face value, to be kinda meh (I say this having watched One Piece via Funi’s dub first, for those who would argue I’m too attached to the original voices). Therefore, I’d recommend the original japanese w/ subtitles, unless of course, you’re the kind of individual who simply hates to constantly glance at text at the bottom of the screen while trying to watch something in motion, or would prefer not to listen to voices blab on in another language, in which case Funi’s dub is the only option. Of course, in the case of english not being your first language, I unfortunately have no commentary to offer.

I enjoy watching the One Piece anime, but I probably won’t get this game. However, if this game is a fighting game (like Dragon Ball Z and Street Fighter games), I’ll probably get it.
