Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed today that the female villager from Animal Crossing will be a playable character in the forthcoming Smash Bros for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. She’s not a new character, but simply an alternative costume for the male villager from Animal Crossing.

You can cross dress and get female hairstyles, just not female styled eyes. So it’s close and you could’ve been right.

Why couldn’t Shiek be a skin for Zelda like last time? Same for Zero suit Samus. Those two are a waste when there could be more different characters.

Well if they base it on the skin colors from New Leaf… sorry for all blacks out there, but there is no black skin tone. The best you could get was a Mii Mask of your black face or really tanned.
Hey, at least Pokemon was a lot more diverse as of late. Giving people the ability to choose their skin color was a step in the right direction, that’s for sure. And you can tell Nintendo is trying to put a bunch of female characters in their new games like Mario Kart and Smash 4. Give it time and hopefully they strive for equality in their works.

I thought you said most people only play one character, that being their favorite or their second favorite. Don’t be greedy on Smash and not for Mario Kart. Baby characters are worthless, annoying clones! Then you have metal heads who have mental issues or something who say words in reverse order.

I pretty much presumed that the female villager would be in the game as well.
Now just add Lucina as a Marth skin if not her own slot. I don’t see her moveset being much different from Marth’s, anyway.
I kinda expected them to do this. I can’t imagine having four male villager costumes would have been smart. It’ll be fun to play as both.
