  1. Sucks, but getting it for ps4. But I do think the details above are unnecessary, u just need to say its not coming to wii u, blah blah blah.

    1. I do feel WB has justified reasons for not putting it on wii u…To a level. The only game I can Say they put effort in was batman arkham origin(though the game itself was okay). I know theres another game called scribblenauts, but that game had some issues, not all bad, but somethings where off.The port of batman city was good too, but not needed. Also lego city was pretty good, my only issue was the loading. I heard that sold pretty good. I will say when they put effort owners should have supported. I was pissed at them for screwing people out of their money who bought the season pass for wii u, that was unacceptable, nintendo even had refund people who paid for it through their pocket. I mixed feeling for their reasoning, but hey thats me

      1. Screw that excuse. We should get a port of MKX regardless. Bottom line.

Also, fans, if you really want the game on the Wii U, please sign and share this petition. Tweet it to Ed Boon, email it to WB Games and even Nintendo since it’s their console on the line. The link is right here: http://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/netherrealm-studios-please-release-mortal-kombat-x-on-the-wii-u?utm_source=guides&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=petition_created

        1. Lmao. Good luck with that. You’re wasting your time. They simply won’t make their money back on production costs if they release it for Wii U.

Wii U is dead, kids. And I say that as both an old-school Nintendo fan, and as a Wii U owner.

Looks like my XB1 and PS4 will be getting a lot of use in the future, if even the currently known E3 game announcements are any indication. I can’t wait to see all the unannounced ones, too!

          1. I’m trying to fight hope for the console since Nintendo doesn’t want to make ANY effort to get third party support. Despite urban myths, there are some, including myself, that actually do buy third party games on a Nintendo console. If this is the way to get a third party game on the Wii U, so be it.

P.S. Thanks for proving me right, you Blackb0nd wannabe.

          2. It’s not dead. The overwealming success of Mario Kart 8 this last weekend solidifies this fact.

HOWEVER, they still shouldn’t bother bringing the game to Wii U since it’s the totally wrong market for this game.

          3. Wii U is dead….they blew Sony and Microsoft out of the water at E3 and sold over 130,000 more units than XB1 the week of May 31st and was only behind PS4 by 12000.

You’re delusional and clueless. Enjoy your brain dead, same release shooters every year and third person slaughterfests with no story, no colour and no life.

    1. Yeah, for Wii U I might have got it, just to extend my collection, it really has zero chance on ending up on my PC.

      1. most fighting game fans don’t play pc but for causal play, since people will have more access to console then high end pc

        1. They’re doing PC port, since they can pretty much just slap a sloppy port on it.
But playing any fighting game on PC feels kinda dull.
Though this kind of game does not need high end PC,
and you can still connect a controller and TV on your PC and it would be the same.

    2. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

      Indeed…

      Press Ctrl + A + F + Alt + F5 + Delete -> + <- + Delete to make a fatality…

  2. Given what they said about the Wii U just a little while back no surprises here. I’ll probably just pick it up for the PS3 unless I actually decide to fork out 300 quid for a PS4…which is unlikely.

  3. pink0crystal0midbus

Never been a fan of the franchise so I never would have bought it anyway, but it’s a shame that it isn’t coming to the Wii U nonetheless.

  4. I don’t get these companies. They say they are thrilled, excited, whatever to release their games on the new more powerful consoles, and release it for the PS3 and 360. At least do what Rocksteady are doing and go through with releasing games only on the more powerful consoles.

    1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

That logic has been present for most of these Third Class empires ever since the Wii U was the sole machine out there and the other 2 weren’t even released…

  5. Not really surprised…. I’m guessing they’ll make some crap accuse even though the Wii U is doing even better than before…

  6. I knew this was gonna happen. XD also, why do new games like this get shown with Xbox One? XD I was gonna get this after I got a new PC anyways. But it’s a shame it’s not coming to Wii U. The blue box goes perfectly with every game…

  7. Oh well! I guess I won’t be buying this then, no wii u no buy for multi plats that’s my new motto..

      1. Naah I’m good, if they’re going to skip wii u without any good reason I’ll skip them, I won’t bitch about it, I just voice myself by not giving them any of my money

  8. Hmm, lemme guess: online parity (no real in-game unlockables) & DLC extortion (characters, stages, etc.)? If Injustice is any indication, then I’m disinterested…& disgusted. The implementation of online in fighters has pretty much killed the single-player fighting experience. If, say, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was like Tekken 3 in terms of unlockables & Story Mode, then I’d have gotten it on Wii U. Tekken 3D “Prime” Edition, which I did get on 3DS, was a joke. If Injustice had plenty of offline unlockables, I would’ve gotten it, too. @ least SSB still offers offline unlockables, but since it’s a bit too chaotic for my tastes, I’ll pass. If I want to play Mortal Kombat again, I’ll dig out my SNES & my kart for MK II.

& so yet another genre is dead to me in modernity.

  9. nobody buys fighting on pc… only few people. Fighting games are by default classic arcade / console games… They could skip the PC and make it for Nintendo platforms.. I find it retarted.decision, either ways, I won’t buy it. I will tooo tooo with black hat.

    1. Nintenfrauds? Is that the product you use to nurture your gloriously greasy hair? I want some! Gimme!

  10. Fighting games come to PC because fans request them. I bought Skullgirls on PC and I love it..

Look at all these tears though. Back in my day, when I wanted a game, I didn’t cry over it, I just saved up and bought it and the system it was on. If you have an open mind, you will eventually find other games to buy for all of your consoles, so you kill two birds with one stone. I still have all of my old consoles as well and plan to buy more. No salt here.

I’m starting to think hardcore Nintenkids don’t like video games, just the idea of supporting Nintendo. Your loss.

    1. I’ll probably buy a ps3. I don’t really want to buy a system that caters to dudebros obsessed with call of duty and battlefield.

  11. There you go sassori I got a question, who do you work for Microsoft or Sony because I like said on those other articles ,you have to be getting paid for bashing nintendo cause that’s all you do. If you don’t work for them than you really don’t have a life and you need some serious help cause you mentally sick

  12. Why don’t you BET me sassori about the sales between smash bros u and mortal kombat since nintendo is a piece of trash

  13. Tallon Ridley XIII: Kalas

Sucks for those that own a Wii U & want to get it for the console. I, on the other hand, just don’t care for Mortal Kombat like I use to. It was fun in the 90s, though. Now, not so much.

    1. Tallon Ridley XIII: Kalas

You’re talking about a media company that is trying to rush out a Justice League movie by throwing two of the super heroes on the team into the Batman vs Superman movie. And most of the time rely on Batman & Superman to sell live action DC comic book movies. They are too busy trying to make money quick than they are trying to actually appease their fanbase.

  15. thts retarted i think mortal kombat should be on wii u idc because i got xbox one and a ps4 but thts retarded because ps4 is suppositly related towards the ps3 and has some of the same componients and there is ps3 games on the wii u!!!, u can buy them!!! so there their shouldn’t be any problem having the same games on the wii u its like they didnt want it to be on there because ps4 and xbox one are the newest systems most people are prabrobly like u got a ps4 and xbox one so y do u care. i have a wii u also so it wouldn’t force an effect on me as much as towards people with no ps4 or xbox one#i know these examples are resonable idea’s

  16. They’re not going to skip the Wii U you’ll see because… Right now the Wii U isn’t that popular but it will be once all the mod chips and homebrew come out. Then Nintendo will be selling millions of consoles. The same thing happened with the Wii when it was one year old. And now it will be happening with the Wii U. Very soon because a modchip called the Wiikey U is estimated to be released in Late July – August. And once the Wii U is super popular Warner Bros. will port it for the Wii U.

  17. Nintendo should have made this one happen. The synergy between Super Smash Brothers and Mortal Kombat X would have improved Wii U sales among the fighting demographic. Well, I personally have no interest in Mortal Kombat X but I still think that getting this released on the Wii U should have been a priority.
