The developers behind the acclaimed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro: Last Light will be setting up a Kickstarter campaign to get funding for their next project which is called Areal. The goal is to raise $30,000, though this will probably change. The platforms that game will be coming to are as follows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Mac, Windows and Linux. Here’s a description regarding what to expect for Areal.
Areal is a new video game that’s being developed by the people behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro: Last Light. It features a massive and intricately detailed open world environment that is extremely varied and colorful, even though it’s set in a post-apocalyptic setting. Areal depicts a future where civilization has fallen apart due to an unearthly material called Metamorphite, which eventually spreads, corrupts and infects the whole world. The source of Metamorphite comes from a meteor that impacted the earth long ago, and it is the site of constant conflict and bloodshed.
The people behind Metro Last Light? Well, not coming to Wii U confirmed.

That was THQ that made Metro, THQ no longer exists, it’s just the devs from that game are still around. So there is no “Well not coming to Wii U” since that was THQ’s decision not the independent developers.
Let’s hope that is the case and they won’t change their minds again…

xD You’re right. Metamorphite sounds exactly like Phazon. Even the plot has a Metroid Prime feel to it. After all, the biggest problems of Tallon IV were occurring right next to the impact crater where Phazon was spilling forth from.

well you can try your hand at walmart or other big stores, they pay better but expect most of your time there.
Oh yeah, don’t sell your systems, I tell you tis because I have experience in doing that but you are different from me so it might work out for you. When I sell my games, I get the crave to play them once again…so I keep mine instead, besides, they be a lot more worth after they age.
Don’t sell the Wii U. Keep it for all the great games coming in the future.
if I had to choose between playing broken AAA third party games that come out every week or Nintendo gems that are polished yeah I pick nintendo gems.
Get either a PS3 if you want to try out first parties that first debuted on it, like TLoU or Uncharted, or a PS4 if you want to get a steady stream of third parties and a continuation of those first parties, if you are okay with missing out on some parts of the story
Ditch it bro, the Wii U is not getting any 3rd party support anytime soon. Even if it started selling better, by the time 3rd party developers would start developing games for it would take another 2 years as they currently have nothing in the works for it and developing a game takes over 2 years these days. I did that an can finally enjoy all the triple A games I been missing all these years for being an ex loyal Nintendo gamer. Tomb Raider, will get to play The Last of Us, will get to play the Metro redux remake games,(never got a chance to play any of those games for being an ex Nintendo gamer so they will be new to me), and now I will. The Division, The Crew, AC Unity, The Order, Destiny, so many games that appeal to me and nothing from Nintendo that appeals to me. Yeah I’m learning to play FPS multiplayer games too and getting bettar at it too, as when you a Nintendo gamer online doesn’t exist lol.(and the only ones that say multiplayer sucks is because they suck at it lol). And one or two games every 2 years from Nintendo that might appeal to me (Bayonetta or Monoliths game)doesn’t cut it for me.
Nintendo only makes a certain type of game these days, not the variety of games they used to make when they had all these awesome western 2nd party studios. I never liked any of the Mario games so I aren’t missing any of that. The Nintendo I liked was the one back in the N64 and GC era when they had a bunch of western 2nd party studios like Rare, Silicon Knights, Left Field, excellent relationship with Factor 5, the old Retro that worked on the Metroid games (not the new Retro that works on more baby games like DKTF). The only games from Nintendo EAD I liked were 1080° and Wave Race. But Nintendo sold all those western studios years ago and now they became a one dimensional game company who only makes a certain type of game for a certain type of gamer. I have so many games to play I barely have enough time for them, hence I only post here every few weeks not everyday like the Nintendo fanboys that frequent this site. They obviously aren’t having fun with their Wii U’s hence they have so much free time lol.

I get what you are saying, but Call of Duty comes out every 9-10 months. Not 4. That’s almost a year apart. Lol. And the other consoles aren’t just filled with shooters. That’s just what everyone else is paying attention to. Believe me, there are some awesome games like Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

I’m not gonna sell it right now. There’s too many games I want. I mean after all the bigger games come out. Smash, Captain Toad, Zelda, Splatoon, Bayonetta, etc. If I don’t find these enjoyable, then maybe I might sell it. But by then, idk. Maybe I’d have my precious PS4 by then. :) It’s not the fact that I don’t like Nintendo’s games, it’s just that I want to experience more games. Pretty sure I’ve said this before, but I’ve been with Nintendo products my whole life. Beginning with the Gamecube. Lol.

I’ve been playing online first person shooters since Dreamcast its boring now because all the games are all military based I mean after you play call duty 1234 world at war modern combat 2 modern combat 3 black ops black ops 2 ghost and battlefield 1234 and all the other parts from battlefield and Killzone 1 2 3 4 halo 1 2 3 4 reach… yea it gets boring… this generation is off to a bad start battlefield 4 still broken but hardline is being beta tested and the new Call of Duty I mean enoughs enough.
Perfect Dark 64 is still the best FPS made ever for me…
And fucking Microsoft owns it now! *facepalm* Why couldn’t Nintendo at least keep Perfect Dark and Banjo & Kazooie!? Ugh! Selling Rare without trying to keep at least 1 or 2 franchises is one of Nintendo’s biggest failures. I’d have loved for them to have kept Perfect Dark and Banjo & Kazooie.

I love how the game used one of Goldeneye’s best inventions: the higher difficulties added newer missions that extended the stages/levels/missions.
It gave us a reason to actually do each mission on easy, normal, hard, & pro.
So now that their hating for Nintendo and real gaming left them lost, they are on kickstarter. That pride they had before their fall lol.
Well.. I am backing up this project. Having more games like this one can only benefit the Wii U.
Xb1 and ps4 full of shooting games. I have all the shooter games on the ps3 my favorite shooting games are all socom games and MAG. I don’t enjoy COD and my xbox360 I enjoy playing Halo and that’s all. I bought my ps4 for socom and MAG and then f*ck heard Sony shotdown or sold the buildings that made this games. Idk if sony still have some plans to make this games =(
But enough said I’m waiting for devils third now for the wii u, I hope this game will gives me lots of enjoyment.
And when ever it’s live, it’s not going to be backed up because Nintendrones just want stupid platformer games on their console, and the people from the other consoles will barely not hear about it.

Not my fault that it’s true. Happened with Cult County, and Shadow of the Eternals. Both full 3D games, both coming to Wii U and the other systems. It’s bound to happen again.
All The kickstarter games that usually come to the Wii U are these 2D platformers or these horrible puzzle games.
I hope MNN keeps us apprised of this game on Kickstarter when there is some screenshots on the kickstarter page.
