This week’s UK charts are in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. For the fourth consecutive week, Mario Kart 8 is still drumming up sales for Nintendo’s latest home console and sticks within the top 5, placing at number 4. The popular Kart title is showing Watch Dogs no mercy as it sticks fast behind the hacking game. However, both games are overtaken this week by EA’s new release EA Sports UFC, which takes both the first and second spots in the individual charts.
For the third week, Nintendo’s quirky life simulation title Tomodachi Life remains in the top 20, though slips from 12 to 17 this week, while Pokemon Y rounds out the individual top 40 and places at 39. You can check out the UK top 40 below.

Pretty impressive that Mario Kart 8 is hanging in there that long. I expected Watch Dogs to outsell it, but it’s on basically every platform. So that’s really not that big of an accomplishment for Ubisoft. It’s amazing how Mario can move consoles.

Considering the games are the main point, I wouldn’t be surprised. PS Vita might be lauded for its hardware, but not much else. Actually, strong hardware is also its weakness (costly to consumers (& those proprietary mem cards), & costly for devs. But no incentive to hone gameplay or nurture creativity when it’s all about the graphics.
Meanwhile, 3DS games will be immortalized.

I really enjoyed THQ’s UFC games but that new EA’s UFC is just awful. Buttons are horrible and game feels, looks and sounds like shadow fighting. You will hear audience yelling all the time but can’t hear any real noise from hits. Good there was demo version so i didn’t bought it.
