We learned last week that Activision has teamed up with Platinum Games for the console versions of The Legend of Korra. However, we found out that the Nintendo 3DS version is being developed by Webfoot Technologies. The console version won’t be coming to Wii U, but a recent listing on Amazon provides us with more information about the intriguing turn-based strategy version of The Legend of Korra on the 3DS. Here’s a little bit of info on the title.
- Original Avatar storyline penned by the TV show’s creators
- Wield the power of all 4 elements-air, earth, fire and water as only the Avatar can
- Change bending styles at any time to unleash devastating combos
- Beat overwhelming odds by activating the all-powerful Avatar state

Well, technically if it was last gen, why would the 3DS indicate that? I mean, come on, it’s not coming to PS Vita so it’s obviously not just Nintendo’s consoles getting the shaft, Sony’s are too, especially since the PS Vita is almost as strong at the PS3.

If they have different gameplay styles I’ll be incredibly diappointed, if not, then that’s not that bad, because the 3DS handles turn based games really well and if Platinum was making a Bayonetta-styled Avatar game, I would want to play it!

hmmmm. i loved the original avatar the last air bender back in 2007. hopefully this game is great because after book one of the legend of korra i stoped watching the show. i hate how that book ended and she learned the wind element.

At this point I can honestly say Nickelodeon is putting forth more quality (not to mention creative) animated shows than Cartoon Network. That’s pretty sad considering the rights Cartoon Network has to put on TV, such as anything DC-related that has quality to it, not just some big names.
