UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Slides Down To 10, Tomodachi Life Moves Up To 15

This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. With Mario Kart 8’s release now over a month ago, its fifth week in the chart still keeps the popular racing title within the top 10, however it’s slipped from number 4 to 10 this week. And for the first week since release, Watch Dogs manages to separate itself from Nintendo’s flagship title, sticking in the top 5. But there’s a new top dog for the individual chart with Sniper Elite 3, which overtakes EA Sports UFC.

For an entirely new IP, Nintendo’s quirky life simulation game Tomodachi Life is performing remarkably well within the UK individual chart. And, in fact, moves up two positions this week from 17 to 15. It’s clear that Nintendo’s welcome demo package is turning heads and proving to be a winning marketing idea. You can check out the UK top 40 individual chart below.

    1. It’s selling for sure, but the key problem is that there’s only two games on the list that are for Nintendo platforms

      1. Mate, it’s the UK.
It’s not really the best place to get views of games because half of us mainly game on Xbone (Sad but true) and only a small minority plays on the PS4/Wii U

  1. I see how that is. UK is really into 3rd/1st person and sports games mostly and seeing how UK doesn’t like Nintendo much, this is expected, for MK8 to slip after a month. Oh well, it had a good 4 week run.

      1. Tomodachi Life isn’t even like Animal Crossing, you don’t really take control of your characters life, they do it all on their own.

  2. it has to be expect that mario kart will slip. if you look at it,Mario kart is the only game not being multi-platform. I don’t think Mario kart will do better in the US (Xbox land)

  3. before i play sniper elite 3 i need to play 2 or v2 on the xbox 360. the game caters to campers lol.

  4. Tallon Ridley XIII: Kalas

First Stranga isn’t posting a very angry post like we usually expect from him & now Sasori isn’t even using this news to diss Mario Kart 8 & say how Watch_Dogs is so much better. Is this the Twilight Zone? o.O
