This week’s UK Charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track. It’s a surprisingly wonderful week for Tomodachi Life as it shoots into 6th position and ahead of Mario Kart 8 in 7th. The quirky life simulation game has no doubt been helped by Nintendo’s zealous marketing campaign and UK retailer GAME’s buy one get another half price deal in its online store. Maybe those in-game hypnotism sets are working on the players instead of our miis, but it’s clear Tomodachi Life is not moving out of the individual top 40 any time soon.
Continuing to hold onto the top spot is the PlayStation 4 version of Sniper Elite 3, which is closely followed by Watch Dogs, seemingly immovable and steadfast in the top 5. Make sure you check out the individual top 40 software chart below.

Mario Kart 8 is doing great, and ut’s a fantastic game. Sadly there’s only Smash left this year (and a few ‘hardcore’ games), but after seeing how big Smash was at the Nintendo Tournment, I think it will help even more. Next year is looking good, with Yoshi, Zelda, X, Splatoon and more. Cannot wait, I just hope Nintendo can rais awarenes around those, even though it will never be like MK8!

That PS4 Watch_Dogs fad is only temporary because idiots still gets baited to buy POS gaming products claiming to be “next gen” when its not. For example: You can’t fucking punch anyone, story and some characters are stale as hell and multiplayer isnt great (Uplay BS). Well Mario Kart 8 was tenth last week and now up to seven. So next week will be interesting. I’m from the UK and have had my copy since day one. What I’ve noticed though is word of mouth going round about how great the game is. Quite a few people who were against the Wii U at the beginning are now suddenly grabbing one due to the game.
At least that’s good to hear and with several more big games coming later this year and next, it’ll make the Wii U worth while for those guys.

It’s a well known fact that Mario Kart tends to sell over the life span of the console it’s on. Even if it leaves the sales charts, it will still be selling. Will Ubisoft be able to say the same about Watch_Dogs two or three years later? Doubtful… especially if they release Watch_Dogs 2 before late 2016.

Well it’s great to see MK and TL doing well here in the UK, though I do think Nintendo should’ve had another great Wii U title releasing around now. We have another two months before Hyrule Warriors.
And while MK holds on to the top ten like a terrified toddler, EA Sports UFC has fallen down HARD after just two weeks. The good news just keeps rolling.
