Ittle Dew Aiming For European Release This August, Patch In Development For North America

Ludosity has announced Ittle Dew will be arriving in Europe for the Wii U this August – if all goes to plan. The Zelda-inspired adventure game launched in North America earlier this year, but experienced a few issues, including no sound from the GamePad and game saving stutters. In an update from the game’s developer, smaller bugs and the aforementioned issues above have been fixed in the European version. However, Ludosity has said it’s hoping to deliver a patch for North American users very soon.

Unfortunately, there’s been a small hiccup with localisation in Germany. According to Ludosity, the USK rating is “quite expensive” and there’s no guarantee that it would make its general expenditure back, let alone a profit return. Though a release is uncertain for Germany, Ludosity are in talks of bringing the adventure game to Japan. If you’re looking to pick up the game in the Wii U eShop this summer, you can expect the following changes:

  • Localization for English, Spanish, French, German & Italian
  • Threaded saving – no more stuttering!
  • Audio on the GamePad
  • Bugfixes

  1. is it just me or is the title a reference to the fact that “it will do” til the next full zelda release?

  2. I’m from México, and the game is not released in the mexican eshop, and that’s a shame because i wanted to play this game on my wii u.

    1. Ok, so I’m considering it. How long was the playtime and why did you like it? (I guess I could just hit up Miiverse) Thanks Marth!

      1. About 10 hours according the game clock. I liked it because it offered true puzzles in the style of a Legend of Zelda game. The main 3 items in the game have lots of uses – many that need to be self-taught / discovered / youtubed. The master cave you realize how deep the items go (not required to complete – optional). Just was pure fun solving various puzzles.

Many of the “puzzles” are types seen in Zelda – activate x number of switches, push ice blocks onto the switches, light the flames, extingiush the flames, etc. But with the items offered there’s just a dozen ways to do that.

  3. not in germany? and what about the other countrys? like italy, switzerland, austria, uk, and so on?
its really unfair for the others because of german problems.

    1. They are releasing it elsewhere in Europe, but just not in Germany due to the USK rating expenses. Though the German language will be available as a language choice in-game.
