This week’s Media Create sales are now in from Japan. In a week with very little new releases, Freedom Wars remains the chart topper for the second week running. However, Mario Kart 8 moves up from 8th to 4th this week, selling a further 19,386 copies, totalling 512,223 – just short of the Famitsu total of 512,467 reported yesterday. Watch Dogs charts below Mario Kart 8 this week, while Pokemon Art Academy settles in 8th position.
In terms of hardware sales, the 3DS sits firmly at number one with another solid 27k this week, while the Wii U sells just under 10k – a slight drop but nevertheless consistent sales. You can find the top 20 software chart below, followed by the hardware chart.

If you’re in the US, you can get one in “like-new” condition with a warranty and Nintendo land for $200. Given the great library it now has, it’s kinda silly not to buy it if you’re looking for some gaming fun. Not calling you silly…well, maybe a little.
Well, I think I feel kind of the same way you do. (Even though I already have a Wii U) Blu-ray is one of the main reasons why I keep strongly considering the PS3›360. I guess it depends on how much you either want to watch TV or play games. Of course, I am a gamer, so I obviously went with games. But it’s all up to you.

Bluray bundled with PS3 when it first came out was a pretty unbeatable deal, but now you can pick a player up for under $50, and even as cheap as $30.

It’s called ‘incentives’. He’s not buying the ps3 JUST for the blue-ray player, it has a great library, is fairly cheap, and has a bunch of good titles bundled together and all that jazz. Why bad movie trailer ? The Vita has a really nice library of games, I’m actually surprised it took so long for it to pick up sales in the first place. Either way, I’m just glad it is selling well now because that’s what it deserves.

Vita is a glorified PS3 on the go that offers next to nothing but watered PS3 ports with stupidly expensive memory cards instead of using standard SD cards that 3DS uses. By that rate, if the ps4 continued selling like it is, by the time it reached 18 months (which is currently how long the wii u has been out), it would have around 18 million sales compared to the wii u’s seven million in the same time period.
Xbox One in 8 months: 4.8 million < 5.0 million Wii U back in 2013 and Vita 8.0 million in 3 years < 48 million 3DS in 3 years.

Console sells in general are going down till the hoilday season, then they will get a kick start up again. Not sure what sony’s big game for the holiday season is, but I believe Xboxone’s is the halo collection, or something I’m missing. Nintendo has smash bros and amiibo. I doubt smash will get delayed due to them putting al effort into the wii u version after the 3ds is done
