This week’s UK charts are in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track. Both Tomodachi Life and Mario Kart 8 remain in the individual top 10, but the popular racing title sees a slight fall from last week’s 6th to 10th in the first week of August. Nintendo’s quirky life simulation game only falls one place this week and into number 4. Unsurprisingly, Sony’s remastered edition for The Last of Us manages to grab the top spot, followed by the ever-popular Minecraft console editions.
Pokemon X and Y once again hold up the 3DS at the back-end of the UK charts, with Y climbing into 30 as X falls to 36. The DS title Frozen: Olaf’s Quest also makes it into the top 40 this week, presumably due to the school summer holiday period getting into full swing. Below you’ll find the individual top 40.

I’ve been playing a little of Tomodachi Life these past couple days, but I can’t seem to really get into it. It feels pointless. It has it’s funny and interesting moments, but what’s the real goal? It feels more pointless than Animal Crossing EVER has. I’m hoping it eventually grows on me, and that I can eventually start to love it. But it’s just…..weird.
If you feel it’s even more pointless than AC then I suggest you trade it in for something else…

Gameplay is exactly the same as its predecessors, online because of the compulsory friend code exchanges, voice chat, etc. complaints which have been made a long time ago.
I also forgot to add in, they didn’t use the Gamepad in any useful way. Just a needless horn, a map, and off tv play

I really tried to like it… I REALLY did… But in the end, I just don’t touch it anymore. I’d like to play with friends online, but MH3 and Mass Effect 3 are just much more fun for me to play coop with others.

Game play is the EXACT same as every other Mario kart, except items are a joke, and they made gamepad use a joke. There isn’t one damn thing special about MK8, and a while lot of shit they messed up.

Last of Us Remastered for PS4 selling well, eh? I’m not surprised. If half or most of them that bought it own it for the PS3, I pity them for being a sucker for the graphics especially if they intend to keep their PS3 & the original Last of Us throughout the 8th gen. Anyway, sucks that Mario Kart 8 dipped to the 10th spot… but if the previous weeks are any indication, it will go back up at some point. *cringes at seeing Watch_Dogs for the PS4 still selling well* Every week that game sells & is in the top 10, the less hope it has of doing well on the Wii U in my book. If Ubisoft is lucky, I’ll be proven wrong when it releases on the Wii U… if it ever does.
