Play the first four, then don’t bother with the rest. Some spin-offs are good, but that’s about it. The fourth one is an action-horror game, not a survival horror, but is a great game nonetheless.
Pretty much. The railgun games (Darkside Chronicles and Umbrella Chronicles) are not bad for what they are. Code Veronica is a master piece, imo. I’ve heard Dead Aim is crap, but I haven’t played it. (It is an FPS.) 5 is pretty bad but still kinda fun to play through one time. I couldn’t even finish 6. 0-4 are excellent games. I love/hate 4 because it was a very good game, but it lead to the 5 and 6 being absolute shit.

I can’t believe Capcom. Why would they change ANYTHING on REmake? It’s one of, if not THE best survival horror games out there. Improved visuals mean shit if you’re going to mess with the atmosphere of the game. Besides, seen how the RE4 HD remaster went, I don’t have much hope for this one.

If it only was about that, but t’s not. They’ve changed the tank controls and removed (partialy) the fixed camera angles. They surely have made a great work throwing the balance and atmosphere of the game out of the (mansion) window.

Dude, what are you talking about? The classic RE controls are still there. Also about the camera; it will only move around if you choose the 16:9 widescreen presentation. The original 4:3 aspect ratio is still there if you want.

The only thing that Capcom is altering is the graphical presentation. Even then it’s only lighting enhancements, polygon boosts, and increases texture resolution. It’s still the same game you know and love, but just with a fresh coat of paint. About everything else, they aren’t CHANGING anything. Instead, they are giving you OPTIONS.
Yeah, I’ve just re-read the Destructoid new. They didn’t remove the angles, just “unfixed” it so it can scroll to adapt to the aspect ratio. I misread, it’s not as bad as I thought. Still pretty bad, if you ask me. I hated Code Veronica for that reason.

That’s not how it works. You make a great game, people buy it. You HAVE to make a great game, though, and that costs money. If EA, Capcom, Ubisoft and the like expected rushed ports to sell millions, it’s their own fault and none else.
I understand your view, but why should third party make an effort when it’s been like this since the gamecube? The Wii has some fantastic third party games, but they all sold terribly. Even the Wonderful 101 didn’t sell great and that was second party. Now they’re realizing is better to ignore the Wii U outright.
Because some third-party games (the good ones, actually) managed to sell more than one million on the GameCube (Capcom should know, since all of the GC RE titles did). Most of the third-party titles on the Wii sold badly due to them being inferior to another versions or not being advertised strongly enough.

There hasn’t been a single third-party exclusive game entirely developed with the Wii U in mind not called Zombie U (that I know of, at least), and that title got mixed reviews. THAT is the problem. Without effort, there’s no gain. The idea that the fanbase should just accept the studios’ demands is plain wrong.

But… but Assassin’s Creed 3 released launch day on Wii U and it eventually got all the DLC. And Zombi U launched as a Wii U exclusive. And Just Dance 4 released on the Wii U and is just as good as the other versions and plus it has DLC too. And WB (or whoever it was, I forgot :/) had took extra time to build the definitive edition edition of Batman Atkham City (a series Nintendo gamers never got to play before) on the Wii U. And EA released the definitive edition of Mass Effect 3 for Wii U on launch day. Yes there was a trilogy, but the first two games were not developed on Nintendo systems during the time so it could not be ported. And they took extra time to build the definitive version of Need For Speed Most Wanted , but people complained that it was too late even though they worked really hard to port it. And they said if the game sold well enough they would’ve added the extra DLC for the game which would result in it being even more the definitive edition! See? It is definitely NOT all the third parties’ fault. The Nintendo fans simply did not buy the games so they felt that they were not needed there anymore. And they also lose a lot of money because of this. Activision I think actually expressed their disappointment with the sales of the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 and that’s really sad because Call of Duty is a multi million dollar franchise! And the fans should have been there because there have been CoD’s released on previous systems before. They didn’t get the best versions though because that was Nintendo’s fault. They did not make the Wii HD and it lacked a lot of features that could have been used in the game! If the Wii U version of BO2 sold well enough, they would have instantly got to work on those DLC’s. And considering the fact that most Nintendo gamers hate DLC, especially CoD’s, it wouldn’t have been worth it. So there you have it. The reason why games don’t sell on the Wii U. I just explained it. :)

It does seem like a really bad idea, not bringing it to Wii U. Resident Evil was an ok series of games, after I played 5 I tossed in the towl.
I don’t see the point in posting about games that are not coming to the Wii u. What people don’t know won’t upset them. At this point we expect 3rd partties to not put their games on the Wii I so at this point this is not news its expected. It would be news of they did put them on the Wii u so please stop posting about every game that is not coming to the Wii u cause we don’t care cause guess what its not coming so why would we care.

You might be getting Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise mixed up with Koei Tecmo’s Fatal Frame franchise.
But I wish Nintendo did then this wouldn’t be happening right now as it would be a Wii U exclusive instead of skipping the Wii U.
I never cared much for the Resident Evil series until I played RE4. But I still don’t care much for those first 3. Now, if a remastered Resident Evil 4 was skipping the Wii U, then I’d be angry. And yes, I know there was an HD version of RE4 on one of those other “garbage” consoles.
But still…..how dare Capcom release this on the 360 and PS3 (yesterday’s consoles) and skip a current gen console (Wii U). It seems everybody is pulling the Ubisoft attitude these days. I don’t know how the Wii U is even surviving with all of the third-party abandonment?
Because Nintendo isn’t killing it. They have no other choice but to let it stay. Which one would you be more pissed about? Ubisoft and Capcom screwing you over by not porting over games or Nintendo fucking you up completely by discontinuation of the Wii U? Lol.

As I said above, I need say nothing as Icezeama said exactly how I feel about this situation. That & I still have Resident Evil Wii Edition for my Wii U.
Capcom could at least give us an HD remaster of Resident Evil 0 to even things out, though. Then again, they’d probably fuck us & Nintendo even further by releasing an HD remaster of RE0 for everything but the Wii U, too.
