Former Nintendo indie boss Dan Adelman has mentioned that he really wanted to get the classic Grim Fandango to come to the Wii U, however his efforts were unsuccessful. A remake of Grim Fandango is currently in the works for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
“Grim Fandango,” he reminisced. “I mentioned the idea of an HD remake to Tim Schafer about 7-8 years ago. I was so jealous that PlayStation got that. Curse you, Adam Boyes!”

I call bullshit on that one. 7 or 8 years ago, there was no reason Nintendo would want to make an HD remaster of Grim Fandango since they didn’t have a HD console until Holiday of 2012.

I love my Wii U but I agree it was a terrible name, should have went a different route after the Wii. I remember reggie explaining the name, something along the lines of, the Wii was for the family, the Wii U is about the family and you as a gamer. I clearly remember cringing. Hopefully the next Nintendo will have something cool and 80’s style, like, The Nintendo Neutron, So powerful, you don’t plug it into your home, you plug your home into it. It has Super Charged Ultra blast processing.

Nintendo should really be paying attention to how successful Sony are at securing indie games and how they use social media.

How is he butthurt? He’s one of the people that could’ve saved the Wii U. He doesn’t want it to be region locked and this is showing that he wants more games to be on Nintendo systems. Also, he isn’t a hater because he dislikes the Wii U’s name. I don’t like it either but I’m sitting here playing it right now as we speak. Criticism isn’t the same thing as just hating. I can write a book about things wrong with the Wii U, but that won’t stop me from playing it.

My generation doesn’t have anything to do with it. Stories do matter. I’d take Goldeneye>Cod any day thank you very much. But not because of the gameplay, but because of the epic James Bond story.

Nah. Remove the story from every Legend of Zelda game and what do you get? A game that isn’t as good, that’s what. Like for example, I was playing Wind Waker HD yesterday and this game (imo) is really boring gameplay wise. But the only thing that is motivating me to finish it is… yeah. You guessed it. The story. I want to see more of the characters. I want to see more of what happens with Link. And so on. ALBW (which was the first Zelda I ever even got close to beating) on the other hand imo is fantastic both gameplay and story wise. I love everything about it and I’m gonna have to get around to finishing it eventually. My point is EVERYTHING isn’t about gameplay. You have to look at the characters, the controls, gameplay, story, the audio, the visuals, etc. They all matter. And while some people say visuals do not matter, they actually do. It can indeed improve your experience with the game and should not be ignored. But that’s all a matter of opinion anyways. To have a perfect game, you need to have everything in it that I just listed. If they released a new Zelda that had some of the best gameplay ever but no story, it would still not be perfect. It would feel like a pointless adventure.
All I’m saying is that I never buy a game for the Story as my first priority, what makes me sad today is that gamers overall buys them for just the story even if everything else is generic and boring…
Some even went to great lenghts in saying what they buy a game soley buy watching a cinematic trailer…
