This week’s UK charts are in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track. The oddball and wacky life simulation game, Tomodachi Life, has remained in fourth place this week and refuses to budge from underneath the wings of the Minecraft console versions. Unfortunately, Mario Kart 8 slides out of the top 10 completely, hovering in unlucky number 13 and between the continuously popular Terraria and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
With no new blockbuster contenders, The Last of Us: Remastered Edition remains top of the individual charts, clicking into first place for the second week running. Pokemon X and Y continue to place well as Y moves up to 28 from 30 and X moves from 36 to 35. Make sure to check out the full individual top 40 below.

Of course, MK8 did a lot better in the UK than anyone thought so I’m satisfied…

With more and more Wii U’s being sold as a result of HW, B2, Smash etc. over the coming months a lot of these new owners will no doubt pick up a copy of MK8.

Not hating on the last of us, or hardcore ps fans, but why buy the remake if u already have it, I mean yeah u get free DLC, but by the time u buy it again u will have spent 120 bucks on the game, photo mode doesn’t look interesting, Frame rates better , but never notice a issue with ps3’s, and not to mention nothing is being pushed, the ps3 version still looks fantastic. Well, in the case of TLOU it made sense to remaster it, as the new generation pretty much arrived right after its initial release. Also, there was extremely high demand, as the sales numbers obviously show.

I try SO hard to like Tomodachi Life. But I get tired of it in only 10-15 minutes each time. There’s only so much that can be done each day, and most of the things in this game either has no real point, or it makes no sense. It’s the kind of game that makes you feel like you’re on drugs or something.
And it would be SO much funnier if characters could pronounce words better. They all sound like mumbling robots. They can’t even pronounce the word “America” or “American” properly (among many other words). And it doesn’t even pay to tweak with the accents and quality of the voices. All that does it scramble their voice so much that you can’t understand them.
And I hate how the Mii’s need a birthdate before you can test their compatibility. I have to edit every Mii now just to give them a phony birthdate. Ok, I’ll shut up now.
MK8 is amazing, being in that list for so long. Not to worry, there’ll be many more Wii U games to come, Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2, and the best of them all, Smash Bros. Wii U has a great future looking forward

well it a logic consequence that MK8 slipping as the months go by. TBH MK8 is not multi-platform to start with. The Wii U is not selling as good as the other two. Again for the folks who do not live in UK and do not know what’s going on, Sony and Microsoft are way much more marketed than Nintendo Wii U.
It’s simple, retailer does not even display the Wii U or a game. If they have a Wii U section it’s so small you can pass by it and miss it. Again Nintendo UK doing a very bad job, which is not the case for France, Italy,Belgium,Switzerland and Germany.
Also if you happen to catch it by mistake, one episode of big bang theory slag the Wii U while Xbox one and PS4 were the star of this episode.
PS4 and xbox one have way much TV advert in a week than wii U in 3 months.

It is true that the Wii U has very little exposure in the UK. The supermarkets haven’t help. They just sell PS4 & XBone because when the parents go into the stores the kids demand those systems and games.
The UK console sales of the Wii U are significantly behind the ‘other two’. However, globally the Wii U has remained consistently ahead of the XBone for over six months. If I was the Microsoft XBone director I would be having kittens right now.
