New Pokemon Project To Be Revealed August 26 On NicoNico Livestream

A new Pokemon project will be announced live on a NicoNico stream next Tuesday, August 26. According to translations from Serebii, the stream will provide a “shocking announcement”, but unfortunately there are no real clues as to whether eager Pokemon fans are looking at a game, manga, or new film.

The NicoNico stream – which is running in co-ordination with Famitsu magazine – will feature CEO and president of the Pokemon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara, along with two special guests and Pokemon voice actors  Nobuhiko Okamoto and Aoi Yuuki. The announcement stream will be hosted by fashion model Ayana Tsubaki and Famitsu’s Bunbun Maru.

Though the announcement is unlikely to be a main series game, speculation among fans have pointed towards the rumoured Wii U title, Pokken Fighters. Trademarks were filed in Europe for both Pokken Fighters and Pokken Tournament back in May, so there’s certainly prior evidence pointing in its direction.

For those interested, you can take a peek at the teaser site revealing the announcement, here. And on August 26, 10PM JST / 2PM BST / 9AM EDT and 6AM PDT in US, you can catch the NicoNico stream, here. What do you think this exciting or “shocking” new announcement could be? 1. if it aint a pokemon xd sequel i couldnt care less there was a petition made and no reposnse or anythiny. hopefully not another pokemon rumble. poken fighters i will keep an open mind but i cant really see this being appealing when smash is around the corner.

    1. I would love a new dungeon game as long as its not as horrible as the 3DS one. Why do you dislike the dungeon series commander?

  2. not excited its only a fucking pokemon game like normal like there was not going to be another pokemon game? damage contol much?

      1. The story mode and map were ofensively bad. Easily the worst of any main titles. Not saying it’s a bad game, just that this aspects SEVERELY lacked the appeal of previous gens.

  3. I will be excited if it is a Pokemon Snap 2 for Wii U, a Pokemon Colusseum/Battle Revolution/ Pokemon XD sequel, or that Pokken Fighters game and also if it is a Pokemon Conquest sequel, because Conquest was one of my favorite DS games.

If it is another movie or TCG announcement or Mystery Dungeon #25 or another Pokemon Park or something along those lines, then I will be disappointed…. again.

The Pokemon Company doesn’t excite anymore. Only the mainline Pokemon games are anything to look forward to. It’s like pulling teeth with them. They won’t do what the fans ACTUALLY want them to do.

    So annoying -_-

    1. I’m personally hoping for Pokemon Snap 2, so we can use the Gamepad as a freaking camera. But it will most likely be that Pokken Fighters we’ve been hearing about.

      1. I would LOVE Pokemon Snap 2, but if you are right and it is Pokken Fighters, then I will be excited as well, because at least that game looks a little more fleshed out than most Pokemon spin offs.

The Rumble Arenas, Mystery Dungeons and Poke Park games are killing me with how awful they are.

  4. Gamefreak this the final chance I am giving you. I don’t want that Pokken Fighters crap. Give me Pokémon XD or Collesium sequel. Or at least an HD remake. US Wii U owner’s have been patient and waited long enough for this.

  5. I want it to be Pokemon Snap 2 so bad but as I said above, it will most likely be that Pokken Fighters crap. If Pokken Fighters is just going to be like Pokemon Rumble, I’ll pass!
