  1. First time in a long time I see that new Wii U owners buy a all new Wii U game as well as MK8 as two tittles. Very good. That’s what I like to see. A game promoting another game on Wii U. That’s what keeps Wii U afloat!

    1. jtz how are you my friend? long time no see. true words there.

F=Ma ( As formulated by the greatest scientist blessed by the Almighty )

Nintendo have finally got the knowledge of what is true and correct for gaming.

  2. Sounds about right. I predicted 20k for Wii U this week. Hyrule warriors did okay. I expect it to sell a bit better in US because of a bigger installbase and a lot of people got into the hype.

yes you can. one person can use the gamepad and the other person can use the tv with wii remote or pro controller or classic controller..

                1. No, I just find it hilarious how much of a hypocritical fanboy you are.
But I think it’s you who has some issues with the thing concerning the germans. To me, it looks like you’re suffering from heavy compunctions concerning the whole thing, seeing how you keep randomly bringing it up.

Because that’s the origin of your problems with me, period…

And concerning CoD, I hate the milking part and the idiots who buys every single game that come sout of it…

I haven’t touched a CoD since WaW and before then I only played the CoD 2…

                1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I’m going to buy it, it’s very cheap now and I need to get off my FPS trolling sometimes…

                  I haven’t played a CoD since WaW…

                  We can play together too…

                  1. Sorry to share some bad news but I’m trading it in and Ghosts by the 25th along with ZombiU. Those games are starting to bore me and Ghosts pisses me off every time I play it.

you can do online. the second player while will be named as guest. it’s possible to play gampad while someone else uses the tv online. 2 player co-op is possible.

        2. Online/local and you can choose to play as a guest or play as another user with a NNID (from the same console) works fine but you need good internet and the fps drops to the point the game becomes unplayable online (OK, you can play…but you’ll die a lot jaja)

  3. The most excellent thing is this is a 3rd party tittle. The first 3rd party tittle to increase hardware sales this much.

    1. You’re right, jtz. Tecmo-Koei publishes Hyrule Warriors in Japan while Nintendo co-publishes that game in North America and Europe (UK).

      1. When next month comes, Fatal Frame U and Bayonetta 2 with the enhanced Bayonetta HD free disc are gonna bring more sales to the U in Japan.

    1. Well, I thought you said that you didn’t care about this game or any Nintendo related game so… Why do you care?

    1. Living in the past much? Gamespy had already shut down Nintendo Wi-Fi connection on Wii and Nintendo DS. Hyrule Warriors’ online connectivity and Miiverse enabled are only powered by the Nintendo Network.

  4. 16 million 3DSs sold in Japan to-date. PS Vita game Changer 3DS killer sold how many now? hahahahahaha.

    1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

The Sonyan Vitas still think gravity is witchcraft and that the earth is the center of their arrogance…

  5. Hold on!
    … …
    HOLD, ON!
I thought no game (no matter how good) was going to boost Wii U sales…
    So all that talk was… a lie???????????????lolololololol???

  6. LOL the Vita is the biggest joke handheld of all time!!
Monster Hunter Frontier G was released for it in Japan and as we all know the series is huge in Japan, yet it ONLY managed to shift a total PATHETIC 21k FIRST WEEK?HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!
Even with a huge release NO ONE buys the Vita and one of its biggest ever games is a disgrace flop!!!
Sony should just cancel the Vita as this is just getting hilarious!
PS4 and Vita tanking in Japan!
    EPIC FAIL!

        1. It was dumb because when the wii U has bad weeks in sales, people like him ignore it damage control, but when a non nintendo system has bad weeks in sales, it becomes funny and the system becomes “crap” persay

              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I can never respect consoles, I can only respect empires and the Microsoft Realm is not one of them, neither is the Electron Army and specially not the Atarians…

                1. To each his own. Companies that I don’t care for anymore are: ubiMoney, EA (with the euro sign) and ca$hCom, simply because of their business practices. I believe Microsoft is doing their best to redeem themselves though

          1. That maybe the case which I won’t deny, PS4 has already won the war before it even started, but if there’s any chance, Wii U will, more or less, be close to PS4 if Nintendo continues releasing major titles for the platform.

            1. Close or not doesn’t matter to me. What does matter to me is the Wii U becoming a long time success. As long as nintendo makes a profit off the system and keeps pumping out new games then all should be well.

          2. The N64 never catch PS1 but had excellent games, the same with the game cube, I don’t really care about how much they sell as long the games keeps going, and at this rate, the big publishers are going to regret their actions because ninty is going up in sales

        1. You do realize that the PS4 is going to get a few majorly big titles too throughout the next few months, right ?
Also, the fact that SSB will be coming to the 3DS too, even earlier at that, unfortunately totally ruined the WiiU version’s chances of possibly becoming the biggest thing that hit the console, in terms of moving hardware.

          1. It’s still too soon to say that the 3DS version will upset the sales of the Wii U version. It will most likely do this in Japan but it will also most likely be the other way around in the United States & possibly the United Kingdom. Again, don’t count out the Wii U version just yet. It may surprise all of us.

          2. Only one big 1st party which is LBP3 and Destiny which I must admit its hype is big. But have you seen the two SSB games? The ONLY similarities is the character roster and gameplay set up plus the Amiibo figures and people have gotta be THIS STUPID to think both games are exactly the same in every way. Stages are different, graphics are different, prices are different, control feel and options are different and amount, types and exclusivity of contents are different. Like Jesus Christ is everyone this freaking paranoid of the Wii U being overshadowed by its portable counterpart? I’ve seen the hype and standing lines myself when Smash Fest was kicking off and let me tell you this: Its massive. Even bigger than Brawl was in its time and its the Wii U version getting that kind of attention. 3DS version is just a small, second hand piece of the big pie of Smash Bros. You’re not gonna see, get and expect much when it comes to content and value for 3DS version. I’m gonna get both because I know both games will be different and serve different gaming purposes. But Wii U version will definitely have a lot more to offer. If Wii U version gets an exclusive custom system bundle for the game launch at, let’s say $350-400 range. It’ll definitely move Wii U sales at an alarming rate. Globally, this game alone will help Wii U one way or another.

            1. I think you are wrong. The WiiU version of SB is empty compared to the 3ds version of SB. The WiiU had potential though. It sucks how Nintendo is not as interested in the WiiU as much as the 3ds, they could have done something great. Anyways, I pray Ubisoft goes bankrupt.

            2. It’s cute how you think the 3DS version is gonna be much smaller compared to the WiiU version, in terms of content. There will be version exclusive stages (most stages will be featured in both versions though, btw) and trophies and a different game mode for each version. Those are going to be the only differences, content-wise. Also, graphics ? I thought graphics don’t matter and shouldn’t influence one’s decision between games ? (: But anyway, back when both version got announced, Nintendo said that they don’t want owners of either console to feel like they’re missing out, so they’ll try to offer the same experience with both versions of the game, if I remember correctly. So, sorry to be the one to break it to you, but they’re not going to be as different as you expect they will. I don’t think there’s anyone who thinks both versions will be -exactly- the same, but I’m sure there are more than enough to think that they won’t miss out on much if they choose to go with the 3DS version only, because they really will not miss out on much.
It is going to move hardware, but not even remotely as much as it would have if it was exclusive for the WiiU. Hell, even if the 3DS version released at the same time, or even better, later than the WiiU version, it would have made a damn big difference.
Also, the hype about the game is going to decrease significantly once the 3DS version is out, pretty sure about that.

            3. She isn’t talking about what games YOU want to play. Lol. You know CoD AW alone is going to outsell everything on the charts this fall, right? And now that it isn’t coming to Wii U it counts as competition. Destiny is probably going to be the next best seller too. And then there’s Battlefield Hardline coming. And Assassin’s Creed Unity. And the sports games (as much as I don’t like them) are going to sell well too. Wii U has to go up against, what? 8 games? Lol. In addition to going up against Smash 3DS too.

              1. Knowing how some, if not, a lot of people are intending to avoid AW for what it is and for what COD is, I don’t think its ever gonna take back its sales records from GTA5 anytime soon or never so its not gonna outsell any franchise anymore. XD

You say Wii U has to go against 8 games? Funny, I only count about 4 or 5. lol What are these 8 games? And about Smash Bros. 3DS, its no doubt its gonna sale more because the install base is larger on 3DS, Duh. But its not gonna completely alienate Wii U’s game as it’ll offer a lot more and has the potential to grow via DLC possibility. 3DS can only handle as much as it can so it won’t be exactly like Wii U and more than Wii U itself.

                1. Do we really have to go through this again Stranga? Sigh. XD Ok, I’ll list the ones that come off the top of my head: Cod AW, GTA V, Destiny, Both AC Unity and Rogue, Evolve, Driveclub, The Master Cheif Collection, Fifa 15/pretty much every other sports game coming out, Far Cry 4, Battlefield Hardline and Dragon Age Inquisition. That’s all I can think of. Ok let’s see… That comes to a grand total of…about 10 games! All coming out this year. Do you see what I mean? And that doesn’t necessarily mean what games will be good or not, but these games are most likely going to sell a ton. Especially AW, GTA V and Destiny. And once again, 3DS install base is way higher than Wii U so even if the Wii U version is the best, it’s going to be utterly destroyed in terms of sales. 3DS will put Wii U to shame. XD

                  1. So let me get this straight…COD spam #117, GTA5 PS4/X1/PC port that’s a year overdue, Destiny the “Halo killer”, ASSassin’s Greed the annual edition, Evolve..Evolve what? lol Driverclub, I rather get Burnout Paradise or wait for Project Cars which offers, plays and does the same shit without that BS Uplay garbage as a forced requirement to play online like EA’s Spyware Origin. The Master Chief Edition…oh you mean Microsoft’s game of “desperation” to sell their Xbox branded Betamax with its first gen name, to Halo nerds since they delayed Halo 5 into 2015 and BTW, PC is getting it too so..what’s the point of having an Xbox again? FIFA 15..*facepalm* may I dare say this again? Its the same shit as the last several thousand games before it. EA Sports series is the King of video game recycling next to COD and way worse than New Super Mario Bros. lol FarCry 4, nothing against it so let it do its thing. Battlefield Hardline, glad to hear that its not becoming another BF4 debacle or another BS annual franchise and actually doing something different unlike a certain other stale shooter *blankly stares at Activision* and I have no comment for Dragon Age either.

So there you go. X3 Its how I see those games. And you did forget to mention Project Cars. XD Now that game, graphically blows any and everything out of this world.

                    1. Project Cars is what blows you away graphically? Lol I’m guessing you haven’t seen Batman Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, or MGSV. XD

                      1. MGS5 is impressive, again, don’t know about Witcher and Arkham Knight looks as similar but “prettier”. XD And in case if I somehow insulted you, I’ll take it back and put it this way: Project Cars makes Gran Turismo and Forza look like an early 2000s game. lol

                    2. It is absolutely irrelevant what you think about those games. Fact is, they’re gonna sell extremely well. Each and all of them. And your personal opinion is definitely not a factor that’s gonna change anything about it.

                      1. The fact that you bothered to write a long ass reply to HollowGrape in a conversation that’s been going on for a bit speaks against it suddenly being a joke, actually. I don’t think anyone could have guessed that you weren’t serious, given the situation. But ok, whatever you say, mate.

                  2. And about Smash Bros., of course 3DS will sell more but its not gonna put Wii U or its game into the grave because Wii U version will have its own advantages and exclusive offerings like DLC possibilities, HD, different controller options, contents and some exclusive modes I believe. Oh and did I forgot to mention it’ll bring back the GameCube controller with its bundle deals too? :3 Wii U version will do fine on its own.

Now I’m thinking of moving back to the XL model just for the game because of its bigger screen giving a better viewing than 2/3DS tiny ass screen. If only XL resolution was better and not that unchanged pixel BS, the game would’ve looked a lot better from there and if it had dual sticks, then it’ll make the experience great and almost home console like gaming in your hands on the go. ^^

                    1. The 3DS has its advantages too, exclusive content, DLC possibilites and exclusive modes. Are HD (*distant Nintendo fanboy voice* “but graphics don’t matter !!!”) and controller options really going to convince enough people to spend money on an entirely new console ? I’m sceptical about that.

                      1. And that’s what separates them apart from being “exactly the same” based on a few to too many dumbass people looking at it that way. lol

As for controller options, 3DS is not gonna feel as similarly comfortable and familiar as the home console counterpart due to its lack of dual analog stick.

    1. Ps4 kind of won from the start cause Microsoft and Nintendo dropped the ball. They really didn’t have much competition this gen. On another note its good to see Nintendo doing better. I feel like things will only get better from here.

    2. This is good but it makes me wonder why more Japanese developers don’t support Wii U despite the fact that its the highest sold next gen console (in Japan)

    3. Yes! Back up in the 18k range for the Wii U! Hopefully it will stay in that range unlike when Mario Kart 8 released & the Wii U sales slowly dropped once it moved away from it’s release date. And Hyrule Warriors has had a side effect: it’s helping the sales of Mario Kart 8 rise back up to high numbers in the country of Japan.

      1. My guess is Mario Kart got alot of U owners to buy the game, but it didn’t really get people to buy the system itself. I suppose they are waiting on SMASH.

    4. It seems the Wii U is doing better and better in sales. Lets hope this continues, and repeats in North America.
