Matt Bozon, WayForward’s Creative Director and founding member, has tweeted that the hero mode stretch goal on Kickstarter has been reached. The new mode will see Rottytops, Sky, and Bolo become playable characters in Shantae: Half-Genie-Hero with each character having their own unique story and abilities.

Here’s what I would do:
1.) Find an inexpensive tower with a good motherboard, capable of doubling it’s RAM (for future augmentation) and can support a duel-slot Graphics card.
2.) Find a great graphics card. I prefer nVidea. Don’t get the top of the line, or even second to best, but third best available to save money at first. …. HOWEVER, male sure the motherboard can support the very top of the line.
3.) Don’t go overboard with the hard drive… The bigger the drive, the more you have to lose at one time.
a. If you can afford a 250gig solid state, have that run your OS, then install your games on a 1+ terabyte optical drive.
b. Otherwise, have your primary drive be 500gig – 1 T, then an internal with 1-3 Terabytes… You can always upgrade / add hard drive space later…or just buy externals.
4.) Given you chose a good graphics card, make sure it has HDMI out. That will go to your TV or monitor.
5.) have at least 2-4 USB3.0 slots.
6.) don’t skimp on cooling. If it only has one internal fan, ask about how to add another to the case you have. If you custom built the PC, then you can start by knowing the case has a good cooling system.
If you play your cards right, you’ll have a PC that can play games on med-high settings, and can be upgraded as funds allow. (Ram and graphics card.)
If you can, I strongly recommend your PC has Dedicated Video Card graphics and is NOT integrated.

Very good suggestions! I do think I am liking Nvidia too because their video cards are great. I already had USB 3.0 in mind too. Lol. As for RAM, I will see about it when the time comes. I will probably need no more than 8GB, but I am considering 16 just to be prepared for the future. :) Also, you forgot to mention the CPU. Lol. I think when the time comes, I might choose i7, but I’ve heard that I won’t necessarily need it because i5 is good enough. But I want to be prepared for the future so idk. XD The graphics card I had in mind would have to be the GTX 780. I am fascinated with it and it looks like the perfect card for me. It’s super powerful and you can even manage to put it in a $1000 build. Anyways, one of the good things about this though is that most of the games I plan on getting will be from last gen. I’ll be able to run those extremely well and the fact that I would make the PC future proof would mean I can get newer games and run them just fine too! Anyways, thanks for the help. Now I’ll just sit here and daydream about my epic future PC. XD
You’re welcome! ALS, I did not forget about the CPU…but most people look at that, so I figured you already had. It’s the graphics card that’s absolutely critical, and ensuring if you start with 8gigs of ram, you can upgrade to 16, and not buy a motherboard that comes maxed out. ;D
I tried to touch on some details, but certainly did not cover them all. Besides, I figured you had already looked into the basics at least. :D
I used to be a PC gamer. I personally like the convenience of handheld and console gaming… I don’t have to fuck with upgrades and such every year or two. If I had the money to spend, I’d get back into PC’s again, but it’s too much time and $$ for me. ;)
I do all my editing and work on a Win 8.1 tablet…one strong enough to run the full 8.1 OS. I’ll play a simple game here and there, but my 3DS is my gaming life-blood, and my WiiU, despite how much I bitch about it, is my second. I use the WiiU browser all the time as it’s faster than my friends iPad and my PC.
